These pebbles are complimented by a bag designed for easy handling to apply and store for projects of all sizes.           A:  Covered what it says. Delivery is awful. Be prepared to unload them yourself. We ordered what amounted to 4 pallets (2200 lbs x 4). Pallets were all busted so driver could not get them off the truck. We had to shovel them ourselves onto a wheelbarrow and move them that way. Not fun in the hot sun.

            A:  They are actual, natural black stone. Undoubtedly they have some kind of treatment to make them shiny black, but that is to be expected to lessen if they are exposed to the elements. Think about it: you pick up a beautiful stone at the seashore or in a creek. After it dries out or sits in your rock garden a while it is not nearly as remarkable. All that being said, we have had ours in the flower beds outside three years and are still happy we have them. Highly recommended.

              A:  Natural stones that are not dyed retain their color. Stones that have been dyed do not. Many reviewers state that the color is not black, that it is gray, or that after a few rains the color washed out and they turn gray. That is not a function of a "natural stone" color - that is the function of a stone that has been colored to be something that it is not. After some research, this is apparently a process used in China. Bottom line is they are not what they are represented to be: they are not "natural black stones".

                I only gave it 2 stars because they were decent...
                I only gave it 2 stars because they were decent sized and smooth otherwise nothing else matched the pics online. They were not as black as the pictures made them out to be and the were not as polished. Not worth the $1400 we paid for basically 3/4 of a yard. Go ahead and buy them but be prepared to be disappointed.

                The rock is nice but does go gray after a few years
                I got these as something different for a border around the pool instead of the river rock that was originally there. The sack came on a pallet and dropped off by a freight truck. Although the sack had quite a bit of debris in it, I was still able to get to the rock with relative ease and sift the unwanted stuff away. The rock is smooth, hard and necessarily black. However, after a few years it does go gray but it's still better than other rock options for color and it provides a great contrast with plants for them to stand out. For a touch up, you can always paint it but I'm fine with the current look for now. I mixed it with the 2-3 inch sack as well to get more of a natural feel, with different sizes, that you would see in nature.

                  Nice change of pace rock with a little flair for plants
                  The rock is pretty smooth and black. It's heavier than you would think when looking at the rock itself but it makes a nice landscape cover/border. Plus it's a little exotic being a black rock, most places around our area have the regular multi color river rock, white, beige, tan etc.; but this stands out. Given the color, it also contrasts with plants very well and makes the green or really just any other color stand out. We used it around the pool along with the sack 1-2 inch to give it more of a natural feel with different sizes. The large dark ones are 2-3 inch rock and the smaller dark ones are the 1-2 inch rock which were recently purchased, within the last few months or so. The other, more grey rock is the sack 1-2 inch that has been out around the area for about 2-3 years. I don't expect it to get any lighter than that and to me, it's still a nice rock.

                    These rocks are garbage - don’t buy!
                    These rocks are garbage. They faded within days. The shapes are all irregular. The delivery process is painful and the bag came torn. After putting 2,200 pounds of rocks down in the yard, they all had to be picked up within days because of sunlight exposure which took hours of hard work. The rocks look painted. In addition, the price at Home Depot is more expensive than Margo Garden supply where these rocks are shipped from. Home Depot wouldn’t even price match. The rocks are complete trash.

                      Very low quality product, I will never purchase this product again from HD. They did not deliver when they said they would. These poor quality stones sale for much less from the local gravel supplier, I was hopeful HD's product would be better since it was more money, not even close!

                        When these arrived they were in a mess. The package was ripped. Then when I put the pebbles in my backyard, as soon as they got sun, they started turning grey and lose all their black color. And I am not talking about a year of usage, this was within days. By the time I had 1/3 of the pebbles in my backyard within a week already 1/10 of it was gray. The pebbles that were not placed in the backyard and were in the shade, did not turn, yet. But I am sure they will once I place them. Now I could return them, but I do not have the means to carry and return 2,200 pounds of pebbles. As I outlined earlier, even the packaging they came in was ripped and in a mess and I do certainly not have a forklift. Long story short I would definitely not buy this product again.
