Product Details

Ramset drive pins are designed for fastening applications in concrete and structural steel. They are specifically fabricated to meet the requirements of toughness and durability and are able to penetrate dense concrete and structural quality steel. Ramset assures consistent, optimum quality in every fastener. RAMGUARD pins have a special coating that provides extra corrosion resistance to pressure treated lumber.
  • Attaches 1/4 in. and 1/2 in. plywood to concrete or structural quality steel

A:  I would prefer to use 3 inch nails for more strength. It wouldn't hurt to use a good adhesive, too.

    A:  use to nail some treated wood to the CMU and staple the fiberglass to the wood.. not recommend if the CMU isn't water sealed! look up code for vapor barrier; people cause a lot of damage adding vapor barrier with insulation in the wrong place in basement.

      A:  You may have to experiment with lengths. You don't want it to puncture all the way through the foam but yet you need it to penetrate the concrete enough to hold the foam place. My suggestion is use construction adhesive instead of pins.

        A:  Hi KC, the longest drive pin length offered is 3" - for your application, you will need to use a fastener with a longer length in order to achieve proper embedment in your cinder block wall.
