Range Kleen's Oven Heating Element 7537 does fit GE #WB44X5061 but unfortunately it is not available at TheHomeDepot.com. Please let us know if we can answer any more questions.           Works. Easy to install with standard tools (wrench and screwdriver). Plenty of online videos showing install procedure. Be safe, turn off the electricity before starting work. Been in use for about a month.

          I needed a replacement for my ancient GE double oven model JD25A1WH lower heating element. I've been looking for the part for a couple years and using only one of the oven. I finally took a chance on this element and it was a perfect fit. The element is a slightly different shape but it fits the oven great and it is a better design than the original. The most difficult part of the replacement was removing the original element. The hex screws holding the retention place in place were blocked by the element itself, preventing me from using the socket wrench to loosen them. I ended up using a pair of vise grips to hold and turn the socket until the screws were loose enough to turn by hand. It was not fun. The new element is designed to allow room for the socket wrench so installation was a breeze. The other part of removal and installation was simply pulling the assembly loose, removing 2 screws to detach the electrical wires and re-attaching the wires with the new screws (provided with the new element) to the new element. All of the connections were in EXACTLY the right places. The installation was easy. I had a fire extinguisher on hand, turned on the oven and preheated. Everything was good. Normal function. There was a small bit of smoke from what I assume was fabrication residue. I now have both ovens functioning again! A classy vintage double GE oven and my kitchen is complete again for less than $30.
