Is this the kind of rake to be used after tilling dirt and spreading grass seed...to mix it into the soil?
Asked by: keener
It could be used for that or you could use a standard garden/bow rake. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Razor-Back-15-Tine-Forged-Bow-Rake-2853900/204476214

Metal Rakes that are made of steel and about 15 inches wide. Some lawn rakes can also work.

The reviews are mixed as to the sturdiness of this rake. What's the equivalent in a steel tined rake? I didn't find anything on the Home Depot or True Temper websites. I have to clear and level the area where an above ground pool was. With all the river rocks and lumpy dirt this isn't a task for a lightweight tool. But if this will get it done, I'll buy it.

Being made of aluminum, the rake doesn’t have the stoutness a steel rake has, it moves and levels the dirt and light weight rocks such as pebble stone easily. If you encounter to much resistance such as a larger stone and a root you might bend the tyne of the rake. Use your judgement and feel for the job good luck!
