Questions & Answers

Can you do the floor in sections...one section one day, one section the next, etc?

Asked by: Bill
yes, you can, BUT if you do the restoer does NOT come out even- it leaves a distinct different look- i tried it and wound up having to strip what i had already done with 409 cleaner-spray bottle -my recomendation would be to have someone with you and when you tire out the other person can pick up where you just stopped-do this before it dries!!!!! For some reasoning for it coming out uneven on my hardwood not looking the same -i still do not understand-GOOD LUCK

Asked by: WornFloors51
if the finish has declined over a period of time you wil 1st-use 409 to completely clean flooring then2nd use floor resrorer and let dry thoroughly or you will have footprints usually the drying time is 1-2 hrs

I pulled up the carpet in my 1955-built house and discovered the original oak flooring. It was in terrible shape with paint spilled on it and what looked like overspray from wall texturing. I stripped the floor with a gel stripper. Can I now use the Rejuvenate cleaner and wood floor restorer, of do I need to do something else to finish it? I don't really want to go the polyurethane route, and can't afford to sand it and start over.
Asked by: remodeler
It can't hurt to try it. It is definitely a temporary fix. It puts a protective coating on the floor (kind of like waxing your floors), but it will eventually rub off depending on foot traffic. We use it once a year or so on our floors and are very happy with the results.

What is the square foot coverage of one gallon?
Asked by: Dms
A 1 gallon bottle covered my entire home, and the floors look great! There was even some left in the bottle and my home is 1600 sq. feet.

I also bought the wand with the manufacturer microfiber pads to get perfect results, and clean the floor from any dirt using very fine scarper, following with rejuvenate floor cleaner (applied with blue pad). I installed it on red oak engineered wood floor, the results are amazing after 2 coats, using the white pad. the floor gain back it's shininess, looks almost new. The pattern of the oak shows everywhere. It did not fill any gaps or little hols or enhanced the color (as expected)

Unless you know exactly how to apply, have experience I highly do not recommend. I used on natural hardwood and evidently applied too much and now my floors have tons of scuff marks. Rejuvenate has been unable to tell me a specific product, beyond being alkaloid based, to remove their own product after filling out their form, sending pictures, talking with them from Home Depot. It's been a (first world) disaster. Their customer service people are all well-intentioned and nice but 3 months after my floors got messed up I still have messed up floors. They went from beautiful to huge scuff marks all over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satin Finish Wood Floor Restorer After cleaning my floor the Rejuvenate Cleaner I was now ready to apply the Rejuvenate Restore Satin. My floor were getting dull and need a new life. I didn’t want to pay a professional to redo my floors. So I want to try Rejuvenate Restore. The product is non-toxic, urethane-based formula cleans wood floors while filling in scratches and dents. The satin finish goes down milky and dries clear. You can still see scratch marks on the floor. I put a total of 2 coats on the oak floors. I does look impressive and I save a lot of money doing it myself. There is a very slight odor but offenses. The gal container will cover up to 2,100 sq ft. It states to use on unwaxed, polyurethane-finish wood floors only. Restore will not adhere to waxed or oiled floors. You will need to apply it with a Microfiber Bonnet Applicator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am impressed with the results! This product left me impressed. I used the Rejuvenate floor cleaner first and then applied this using a Rejuvenate micro fiber bonnet onto the hardwood floors in our two bathrooms. Admittedly, I was a little fearful that this would react with the existing finish but it didn’t. The floors in the bathrooms are about 2-1/2 years old and are still in good shape as they don’t get the heavy traffic that some of the other rooms get. After applying this product, the shine was noticeably better. In fact, I could see a line where I stopped at the doorway. As weird as it sounds, now I want to put the work in to clean up and apply this to the rest of the house. The only drawback and it’s a minor one, is that this needs to be transferred to a spray bottle for application. Dumping this onto the floor from the large jug is possible but can be wasteful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the finished results The hardest part of the whole process was moving the furniture and carefully cleaning the floors. Just like painting, a quality result is mostly due to the preparation. If you follow the instructions as listed you won't have any problems. I did purchase the recommended microfiber clots and put it on the end of my Swiffer. I put down two coats, deep scratches are still seen, but not as much. The superficial scratches are all but gone. The satin finish is real nice as well. The odor is minimal and does not last long.

However, after a thorough cleaning with Rejuvinate hardwood floor cleaner and 2 coats of the Satin finish, they looked absolutely brand new. Scratches were filled in and the floors look great!
