The Renogy 100W Solar Starter Kit is easy for you to install, and it is the most economical choice for solar beginners. This Renogy Solar Kit includes all of the equipment necessary for building a new system: a solar panel, a charge controller, as well as electrical wiring, and Z-brackets, making it an ideal choice for both off-grid and mobile solar power applications. This Starter Kit will produce an average of 500Wh of electricity per day (Based on 5 hours of direct sunlight conditions). The 100W solar panel doesn't take up much roof space, but its energy can offset some small loads. The Starter Kit can build a reliable and environmentally friendly power supply, perfect for RVs, campers, boats, sheds, and cabins. It can also be installed as a power supply for outdoor appliances and emergencies, and as a stand-alone power system.

Q:How can I find out how many panels I need to power my house?

To properly size your system, we need to calculate your consumption first to know how many batteries you will need for us to know if the count of solar panels is sufficient to charge your batteries.       A:  Hi jpjp, You can buy a second 100W panel separately and a pair of MC4 Y-branch connectors. from there, you can connect the panels in parallel connection. However, depending on the ambient temperature around the panels, the total amperage may exceed the rated amps of the wanderer 10. So you may also need to upgrade your charge controller to a unit that can handle more than 10 amps from the panels.

          Solar panel and associated equipment.
          Got the order in a matter of a couple days which was great. Installation was easy with one exception. The instruction booklet requires a magnifying glass to read. I think they should consider addressing that issue. Otherwise, I am at this point pleased with my purchase. It started charging as soon as I checked it out before mounting on the top of my trailer. I suggest everyone consider doing that first. It could save you some time if the equipment unfortunately happened to be faulty. If I need anything more from this company in the futurem I will not hesitate to place an order with them.

          Exceeds power of harbor freight. Easy hookup except wires to controller. Doesn't tighten properly. Doesn't grip and so comes loosen unless you over tighten and risk stripping it. Otherwise good kit.

            Almost perfect, with one exception
            The kit was well constructed and shipped promptly. It's working fine and has achieved the desired goal of powering my garden shed lights and recharging my battery-powered tools. The one "flaw" I feel needs mentioning is the way the cables connect into the controller - they're simply exposed multi-strand wires that get screwed into the controller ports, and can too easily come out with very little effort. That mechanism would be better served by some form of plug-in connection rather then the existing screw approach (particularly as the instructions say not to tighten the screws too tightly or the plastic will break). This part of the installation is very flimsy and needs a re-design.

              100 watt Renogy solar panel kit
              Is very nice and easy to set up -- I did replace the 10 amp wanderer with a 20 amp mppt controller and added the second 100 watt panel --- highly recommend getting a 20 watt mppt controller in lieu of 10 watt wanderer everything is high quality in the kit

                Good with one small issue
                This panel has been great, with one exception - the connections at the charge controller are poorly done at the factory. The panel wasn't working and it took me a bit to narrow the problem down to that. I suggest redoing the connections at the charge controller before using. After that it worked really well.
