About This Product

The perfect addition to any off-grid system, whether for a van or a cabin, the Renogy 3000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances. Unlike modified sine wave inverters, this 3000W inverter is a pure sine wave, capable of producing cleaner, smoother, and more reliable electricity to operate tools, fans, lights, and other electronics without interference. Many off-grid systems require a 12V solar inverter to power everyday electronics and this one includes multiple protections to help things run smoothly and safely. The inverter will come with a wired remote that can be used to turn on/off the inverter. The included AC hardwire port comes in handy when wiring the inverter to an AC distribution box. All these added features make this inverter the perfect choice!

  • Optimized for 12 VDC system voltage.
  • Offers high quality waveform with little harmonic distortion.
  • Overload protection for both DC input and AC output to prevent damage to the components and the unit.
  • Special LED indicators for under-voltage and over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, over-load protection, and short circuit indication.
  • High-speed ventilation fans to help keep the inverter running at a low temperature.
  • Ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection
  • ETL Listed with Built-in 5V/2.1A USB port, and AC Hardwire Port. Wired Remote Included

Q:Why does my 3000 watt inverter shut off and gf light come on when powering a small 6 cubic ft fridge. Does it matter that there is a gfci in that circuit?
    by|Jan 22, 2024
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Path, The inverter already has a built-in GFCI circuit and also has neutral-ground bonding so if it encounters an appliance or a distribution box that also has a GFCI circuit it causes it to trigger the ground fault. Q:Can I back feed this inverter to my main panel to supplement my electricity usage?

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi MikeF, Thank you for sending your inquiry. The 3000W inverter can only handle 25A in a 120V appliance, if your electricity usage is up to 25A only and within 3000W then yes you can. You can call us at (909) 287-7100 or visit Renogy.com. We're open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3 pm PST.

          Powerful quiet inverter
I’ve had this inverter mounted in my 2022 Rockwood 2883WS for just about a year. I have 4x100ah Renogy lithiums wired to it, along with the factory 1500w inverter. When I need more power I plug my shore power into this inverter and kill my converter. On a recent trip to Lawsons Landing Ca we camped for 4 days this way, running microwave, electric water heat (at times) and coffee makers. Never even touched the generator. I have 800w on top of the trailer. This setup is bad to the bone for us, and quite inexpensive compared to what could be spent on a system. I have soft starts on my 15k and 13.5k a/c this inverter will run each of them with no issue but not together! I highly recommend this inverter and battery combination! I don’t think I need more honestly for our boondocking. The ability to run A/C is more of a bragging right for me than anything!

            simple power and versatile!
This is a monster of Inverter, I used this to run my Amateur Radio Station(Ham Radio) and accessories. I need to add a second battery for those cloudy days but other than this Renogy recommends 2 (two) 170-ah batteries are dead on! Get this if you want to have reserve power for your 120v needs and with its 6000 watts surge this can run a lot of gear or equipment.

              Great mid size inverter
This is the second of these units I have owned. The first one went in an area of my boat that had condensing salty moisture. This one lasted only a year and upon opening it, there was a lot of corrosion inside. Now I have it under a seat on the inside of the 46 foot boat. Having a 120 volt standard refrigerator out in the Bahamas, I need to run it 24/7. I was having all sorts of trouble with the ground fault tripping, but found that all of it went away when I removed the galvanic isolator. Being that I spend 6 months at anchor and very little in marinas, this fix is not a problem. I could also put it back in the wiring in about 5 minutes if spending any time at marina. I think this could be a problem in any boat with this type of isolator. Being under a seat, it does not have the best cooling, but for out standard 100-200 watt draw, I don't seem to have a problem. If cooking using 1000-1500 watts, it is ok up to about 20 minutes. If longer or higher loads like my 2000 watt water heater, I just take the seat top off while in use. So far it has run continuously now for 4 months without a problem. It will also run my 16,000 btu a/c unit if other loads are not really being used. I did install a soft start just to be a little easier on it, but it runs the other one also without soft start. I also love that I never even hear it run.

                One of my best purchases
I bought the 3000w inverter to allow me to have some creature comforts while I take on RV living full time. With my solar, batteries, and now inverter I spend more time boondocking and enjoying the freedom. Love the on - off remote with trouble lights.

3000 Watt pure sine wave inverter
I purchased this for my hunting camp. I have all the power I need to run the electrical appliances I have up there. It does as advertised.

I got a little carried away, it will power everything in my travel trailer, not at once, A/C by itself but not with the microwave, not on one of the outlets anyway, maybe with the hard wiring

                  Fired Right Up!!!
I have had such a bad experience with other inverters, I was really concerned that this 3000W inverter, that was less powerful than all of the others, was not going to be able to handle my load. It fired right up! It has performed perfectly ever since. I am pleasantly surprised and look forward to continued use for many years.

                  So far so good.
Just got this unit installed and have no real time experience yet. It seems very well made and I like that it is lightweight but powerful.
