Solar Panel installed facing south like a window pane. Virtually everyone installs solar panels on the roof to squeeze out every last bit of electricity, but I do it differently. Perhaps this will start a trend! This panel was installed on the Pump House to power LED lights and a water pump. See the photo. It is like a window on the building and is certainly more aesthetic than if the panel were on the roof. Maintenance is virtually zero, as it will not be impacted by snow and ice. Excess heat produced by the panel simply dissipates into the building. All of those issues are eliminated at the cost of decreased efficiency. Yet, given the choice I would install an extra panel like a window to make up for that loss instead of mounting them on the roof.
When connecting the solar panel and battery to the controller it is advisable to turn the screws that bind the wire before mounting the controller on the wall so that you can view what is actually taking place. The tiny binding block is already advanced to its closed position so that if you insert the wire it will be behind the block instead of in front of it. You must turn the screw to move the block back first, then insert the wire in front of it and then turn the screw to tighten and bind it.

FYI I do RV repair and install solar on occasion. This is a personal purchase for my own unit. The install went well and the product appears to be working well. The only down side is the control has no digital display to give you that warm fuzzy that it’s doing what you expect. Instead you get flashing lights lol. At some point the plan will be to upgrade the control and add a couple more panels. For the price this is a great starter pack!

This works quite well keeping my lithium battery charged up. Even on cloudy days it keeps them charged up, just not as fast.
It does not really come with any hookup instructions, just a reference to a web page which took me a while o find. Once I located the proper video, all went well.

Poor durability, no manufacturer support
One of the panels cracked... the glass shattered after a "pea-sized" hail storm... they were only one year old. The fragility is pretty bad... as if it were not tempered properly. But what made it worse is the company "Renogy" would not provide any support or replacement... even though I offered to pay for a replacement panel. Not good.
