Trying to use this to operate some 12V LED landscape lighting. everything hooked up according to instructions, but the system will only switch "on" with about 30W of lights connected. If I add one more light (4.0W) the system goes into fault (load short fault?). If I remove the light it woks again. This morning I turned the 30w on and then added one light at a time and got up to 70W and the system runs them fine. Voltage at load is fine. When I turn the full 70W off then try to turn it back on, the lights flash and the system goes into fault again.... Any thoughts?
Asked by: Joe
Where are you hooking up your lights to? You should not use the load terminal to power such a high amperage load. The Load terminal is only for a small amperage load of maybe 1-1.5 amps. You should go through your batteries or possibly an inverter if you have one available.
