  • Q1: Do they come with the terminal bolts? if not what size do they take? A1: This Renogy AGM battery comes with two M8 x 1.25 x 20 mm terminal bolts.
  • Q2: Can I connect batteries in series and in parallel? Q2: Yes, you can. The maximum number that can be connected in parallel is 4. In series, there are no limitations.
  • Q3: Can I connect a 100 Ah battery to a 200 Ah battery? A3: No, you can't. All the batteries you connect together should be the same capacity (Ah), the same voltage (V), and most importantly, the same battery type (AGM). And it would be better if they come from the same brand.
  • Q4: What's the best way to place and store this battery? A4: It's a sealed battery and we recommend placing the battery upright. It is allowed to be placed and installed on its side only if there are special reasons for doing so. DO NOT place the battery upside down. You should store it in a dry and cool (5°F~104°F / -15°C~40°C) place. Make sure that it is 100% charged before storing it, and recharge after three months.
  • Q5: When using a charge controller, which battery type should I set? A5: You should choose the SLD battery settings.

            Renogy delivers again with a great battery
            This is an amazing battery for solar systems. In my opinion this is the pinnacle of Hybrid GEL batteries. This battery is a sealed, valve regulated deep cycle. That means I have no worries when it comes to venting and gassing when it charges. It can handle 750 charge/discharge cycles at a 50% depth of discharge. I also like the fact that it does not have to be upright. This battery excels in slow discharge rates and at slightly higher ambient temperatures. Thats important in the Florida heat. Since this battery is a Hybrid GEL it has an improved cycle life and performance at cold ambient temperatures as well. The number of deep discharge cycles is increased considerably when compared with normal AGM batteries. I own three of the Renogy AGM batteries also and this is a welcome addition to my solar system.

            Seems very powerful
            I bought this battery to use with my new 200W foldable suitcase panel kit with a 20A Voyager charger. I haven’t used it on a trip yet but it charged very quickly and ran things through my old inverter even unhooked from the solar charger that my 12V AGM marine/RV battery wouldn’t run Unless I had it charging on the alternator From my truck. Expect it to be 5 star when I use it more.

            Renogy Smart Lithium in my Airstream
            The four batteries arrived well packaged. They required some charging to bring them up to equal charge levels. I like the BMS feature where you can turn the batteries off and on. I also like the networking feature where you can attach them to a battery monitor and see SOC, amp draw, voltage, etc. I am experimenting with the installed batteries in my trailer to see how long they last with my system and how quickly they charge with solar and shore power. So far, very impressive.
