AnswerThis is what I’m planning on doing. I’m hooking up C wire and Rc to 0 and 24v terminals. Don’t plan on using the ground, nor probably should you. Your furnace almost certainly has a 24v transformer. I don’t want to try to figure out how I might hook up to mine as I’m afraid of creating some strange voltage loop that could affect the furnace control circuit. Having an isolated transformer sounds like the way.

AnswersI would imagine it depends on the current draw of your cameras. We have 3 non-motorized cameras running on a 250mA power supply so this being rated at 1660mA should be able to power several depending on the current they draw.

This ac power supply adapter works great with my Arlo Pro 2 camera. The Arlo Pro 2 camera has very poor night vision with only 5 or 6 IR LEDS and this power supply in combination with an IR illuminator that has 147 LEDs @ 850nM is the way to go if you want better night visibility and coverage for your home security system.

The DTE post yard light is 40 yards from the house, ( power-source ) this transformer has powered the post yard lights for weeks now no issues, the 24 volt works so much better for distance than past use 12V DC transformers. Temperature of the transformer is cooler than past units. Good product
