Q:Rheem 120 volt water can this be used for a shower

A:  Probably not. The temperature of the water is inversely dependent on the flow rate. It is hottest at a low flow. So for a shower, the higher rate would likely give you cool-warm water, not hot. You need a heater with a higher wattage rating.

    Gave up.
    First one I returned was defective out of the box. Heated with no water flow. Second one I returned could only heat with a trickle of water flow. To be fair I suspect the 240 volt would be better.
