Hello Mell, Thanks for asking, that rotten egg smell is caused by sulfide bacteria in your water and will not be resolved by replacing the elements, it would be best to look into alternative solutions for this problem. www.waterheaterrescue.com is a great 3rd party resource for this problem.

Thank you for asking. If your unit requires 4500watt elements, I do not see a cause that it would be incompatible.

Thank you for asking. If the AP10869ML requires 240volt 4500watt elements, then this would be compatible, but we would suggest to make sure it isn't to long of an element.

Shipment to store was delayed about a week beyond original date when ordering. It did not cause much problem since I was able to operate the water heater with only one heating element. The new unit fit perfectly and is operating for more than a month

Not worth the money for me.
We have somewhat hard water and I often have to replace elements every 1-3 years. I bought this expensive one thinking it’s oily last longer and it failed in 2 days. Can’t seem to reach the company’s for their warrantee. I replaced it with a cheap element and that one is still fine after several months.
