I got the tankless water heater worked fine and very good fir 2 months Called rheem fir customer service they tried to help me on the phone with no luck I offered to take it to there location in AL but never heard from them ever again I got the tankless water heater for $1350 and 2 months later had to buy a different tankless I do not recommend this brand with all the bells and whistles no worth your money get the rennai better.

I bought my brand new home 2 years ago and it came with this water heater. We have a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath and have never run out of hot water. The gas bill is only $8 a month for my wife and I and that includes the service charge. It turns on and off on demand and has never had a problem. All I have to do is flush it once a year to remove any sediment and scale of which there is none. I highly recommend these units.

Great unit! It’s very quiet but plan on a whole day to uninstall your old hot water tank and reroute your existing plumbing and you’ll have to add an electrical receptacle within 6’ of the unit

Easy 1 day install myself with a helper. So satisfying hearing it quietly kick on every time I turn on the hot tap. No issues with the unit whatsoever.

Converting from a tanked water heater to tankless is always a major renovation. That being said, after almost a week long retrofit of the water heater closet and installation of the new Rheem Performance Platinum 9.0 GPM Liquid Propane High Efficiency Indoor Tankless Water Heater. The unit fired up on first try and is extremely quiet. I was very surprised at the low temperature exhaust while the unit is heating water. A few words of caution if you are a DIY guy like me. When ordering on line, the web site may recommend the purchase of Rheem 3 in. PVC Horizontal or Vertical Concentric Vent Termination Kit. This vent kit is mostly for new construction applications and not well suited for renovations. Also my local Home Depot dose not support the installation as they do not carry 3" PVC pipe. The unit comes with a side wall mounted vent termination that is fairly easy to install.

I installed this to replace an aging bosch whole house heater. Im so happy i did. Absolutely great product hands down. Zero, yes i said zero water fluctuations whatsoever. You set the temperature, and this puppy puts out. Not like the bosch, which had cold spots from day one. Recommend you are advanced to professional to install thou, due to the plumbing and gas lines need to be perfect for obvious safety reasons. When this Power house is running, it is super quiet. I had to actually look to make sure it was running. Although just testing the hot water is good enough, but you get my point.the only complaint i have is that the intake air cannot be user chosen location on top of the unit. It has provisions for a left intake port and no right side intake. But thats more aesthetic than function. And the icing on the cake is that its super efficient. Just love this whole house water heater.

Unit had no assembly defects as noted by other reviewers. Instructions were thorough and detailed, but conflicting in terms of gas supply pipe sizing. Unit comes with 3/4" gas connection and instructions recommend a 3/4" supply, but charts indicate 1/2" supply will provide more than enough BTUs to run the unit. I elected to install with 1/2" supply pipe and adapters to 3/4" connections, unit runs fine with no issues and gas supplier will inspect and change if they feel it is warranted. Screws provided to mount the unit to the wall were too short, in my opinion, and I substituted 3 1/2" washer head construction screws. Unit runs more quietly than my previous, power-vented water tank and provides plenty of hot water for my needs. If considering purchase, do your homework in regards to sizing. Advertised claims of GPM flow assume only a 35 degree increase in temperature, which means your cold water has to be at 85 degrees to attain the advertised flow with 120 degree hot water. Read the fine print, flow decreases if cold water is at 45-55 degrees. Make sure you remove the condensate drain cap. Unit will not power on if this cap is present.

My mother said, if you don't have nothing nice to say, don say nothing....sorry Mom! Got installed (by professionals) right after 5 PM PST and just didn't work, the unit will not fire up....could hear the ignition trying to go but that was it!...called their customer care and to my surprise, they don't have 24/7 support for this unit!!!! Cold water for three days!!!Thank you Rheem! Call on Monday and after 80 minutes of trying to troubleshoot the issue, the final verdict was that there was no gas going into the unit and that a supervisor was going to follow up...never got the call, however, called the plumber/installer to check on the gas and....yes, the unit was getting gas, in another words, I won the lottery of Rheem bad water heaters.... The only good news is that HD is taken the unit back and refunding my money. The real bad news besides cold showers, no dishwasher and laundry is that, I have to install another thankless water heater (replacement) with an installation cost of over $1,800 since is practically a new installation!!!! So, save your self cold showers, frustration and MONEY....buy from another manufacturer!!!!

We had this installed by a professional plumber 1.5 years ago - Half of the combustion chamber won't ignite anymore, and after paying a plumber to diagnose, determined that it needed to be replaced. Rheem refused to replace it, despite it only being 1.5 years old and supposedly being under warranty. Will never purchase a Rheem again and do not recommend anyone else does, either.

Takes forever to heat my water and the screen is not very user friendly!
