The Rheem Performance Platinum 50 Gal. Natural Gas Tall Water Heater comes with a 40,000 BTU/hour environmentally friendly low NOx burner that provides ample hot water for households with 3 to 5 people. The push button ignition system ensures safe and easy startup. Its maintenance free combustion air intake system means there are no filters to clean and replace. A premium grade anode rod provides long lasting tank protection. Factory installed temperature and pressure relief valve and 3/4 in. water connections are included with the water heater for easy installation.

CAUTION: Inspect immediately after delivery
Ordered last week and kept in box until ready to install per the instructions. Box appeared fine, however, once the installer came and opened the box, they found massive dents in the bottom. Called HD and they sent new one immediately with discount. New one arrived today and once again box looked fine but upon opening, again massive dents in the bottom. Called HD again and they offered to replace it or I could pick up in store. Called the store and they said the ones in stock had damaged boxes

Installed it before the old unit died. I did not want to be without water, wouldn't you know the brand new one died after 4 days. It took 10 days to get the right part to fix it.

Just installed but dents were ridiculous
Just installed a week ago & love the pilot light window & started with lowest heat setting which has been plenty hot for all uses, vacay setting will be nice. Picked up in store & couldn't believe huge dents on water heater when unpacked since box did not show damage beyond bottom cardboard was loose. Installed by professional plumber, we picked up at store, and inspected box in store due to review warnings, no cuts in cardboard but when we opened cardboard at home could see dents everywhere.
