Rheem's Prestige High Efficiency Natural Gas Combi Boiler provides an efficient, continuous supply of domestic hot water used for faucets, showers, washing machines, etc.) and provides hydronic space heating for residential applications such radiant floors, baseboards, hydronic air handlers, etc. As a condensing combi boiler, heat is extracted from the units exhaust gases, allowing for higher efficiency and therefore helping you save on energy costs. Q:Where to wire the C wire in the boiler? There isn't a terminal labelled "common". However, there are two AC 24V terminals; are these for the C wire?

Ensure the electrical outlet (120V / 15 Amp minimum) that the appliance will be plugged into is properly grounded. This appliance is equipped with a three prong plug. It should only be plugged directly into a properly grounded three prong receptacle. DO NOT remove the ground plug from the plug. Doing so could result in property damage, serious personal injury, or death. ▪ A. GENERAL OPERATING CONDITIONS ▪ B. WIRING INFORMATION ▪ C. DIP SWITCHES • Temperature - Operating Ambient Temperature Range: 14 ~ 140°F(-10 to 60°C) - Operating Relative Humidity: Up to 90% at 104°F (40°C) 1. This appliance must be properly grounded. Ensure the electrical outlet (120V / 15 Amp minimum) that the appliance will be plugged into is properly grounded. There is one set of DIP switches. The appliance is default set at the factory to operate on Natural Gas with a 3" vent. 2. The wiring diagrams contained in this manual are to be used for reference purposes only. 3. Q:What specifically/technically does the auto boost feature do? When activated, does it allow the heat loop to use more than the 120,000 btu listed?

A: Hi Spilsner and thank you for your question. The setting is to increase the set temperature of the unit on cold start ups if the actual room temperature doesn’t reach the thermostat set temperature quick enough, the Boost time function will increase the set temperature of the Combi Boiler 10°F (5.5°C) after the selected Boost time setting has passed. Example : Room thermostat set at 72°F, Combi Boiler set temp at 140°F, and Boost time function set to 30 min. If the room temperature does not reach 72°F within 30 min then the Combi Boiler will increase it’s set temp from 140°F to 150°F

Doesn’t even work

I had this combi boiler installed 2 months ago. It doesn’t work. I have hot water to my sinks but it does not heat my home radiator system at all. I am not happy at all as this was a very expensive purchase for me.

Trash don't buy

Absolutely the worst product I've ever had! Customer service was a joke as well! I will never be buying rheem again thanks to this pile of junk!

Less than 2 years old, leak developed.

Less than 2 years old, slow leak developed. Wasn't noticed until corrosion occurred. Now I have to pay to have it repaired. Look elsewhere.

Installed this over the course of a week after work....

Installed this over the course of a week after work. Instructions helped a lot along with some Youtube. Make sure you seal the PVC exhaust or condensation will leak down onto the unit and cause problems. The unit heats the water quickly and I felt like there was less peaks and valleys in terms of temp in my house. Overall I'm very stratified with this purchase.

Numerous failures in 60 days of use

Within 30 days of moving into my new house the boiler failed (the internal pump failed - I spent $290 to replace that). Now it has an "ignition failure error" (which is just a sensor error). It also likes to throw a random low pressure supply error. All of these errors cause it to turn off. So every night our heat shuts off and I have to go into the basement and turn the power off and back on and then it works again. Since its a combi boiler - each error also causes you to lose hot water.
