You can set up "linked devices," connecting your Ring devices together and providing instructions for a group of devices to begin functioning whenever any of them are activated. A:  Hello Extender, Great question! Your Ring Alarm Base Station communicates with your sensors and other devices using a technology called Z-Wave. Placing your Range Extender is therefore dependent on where you place your Base Station. Ideally, your Base Station should be as close as possible to the center point of all your devices. If this is not possible, try and place your Range Extender halfway between your Base Station and the location of the device that's the farthest from the Base Station.
