        A:  Hi Nancy. Good question. You have the ability to customize the light settings on your device so that it turns on when you want it to. Through the Ring app, you can use light schedules to do the following: Turn the lights off. Turn the lights on. Set dusk-to-dawn schedules. Create custom schedules for the same time/day of the week.           Not worth the savings: spend the extra $
          I have two of these devices and I constantly having to figure out why the lights are on. Turns out the developers of the software have not fixed a bug that will cause the accessory to default to factory setting. The really frustrating part is you spend extra money on a device that now requires you uninstall it or cut the power completely cause otherwise it malfunctions… and now you have to go spend $30 to start back where you started.

          It sounds like you are having some trouble with the lights on your device. A reboot can clear up a lot of issues that you may be experiencing with your device. To perform a reboot in the Ring app, follow the below steps:
          Tap on the ☰ menu in the upper left.
          Tap on Devices.
          Tap on the Ring device that needs to be rebooted.
          Tap on the Device Health tile.
          Under the Tools section, tap Reboot This Device.
          Continue to follow the prompts in the Ring app to complete the reboot.
          The Ring app will show Reboot Successful after the reboot is complete.

            This was a terrible experience your app said my cameras were at the store to pick up and they were not. I cancelled the order. Never doing this again

                Unlike last years model, this does not flush mount
                Bought the Floodcam Plus since the 2021 model is not available anymore. The 2022 model has a RIGID FLAT BACK that sits on top of the bracket/bracket screws leaving a very large gap. Every other light I have, the back is designed to be concave so that the bracket/screws fit inside, and last year’s Floodcam model had a thick flexible backing to seal it. I don't know how this year’s model even passed code for exterior use. Caulking that large of a gap is ridiculous. I returned it.

                  Ring Floodlight Cam Video Will Turn Pink
                  FYI, since Ring won't tell you I will. After a year are so the daylight video will turn pink. If you're lucky you'll still be under warranty so they'll replace it. After the first replacement it will happen again then you can't replace it so choose wisely. Customer service knows this is a huge problem yet they're doing nothing to solve it. You've been warned
