If you don't have an existing doorbell, this doorbell can also be powered by the Ring plug-in adapter or a transformer for power supply (10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W). A:  Yes I bought mine three weeks ago and an electrician wired the area and connected the video doorbell within minutes. It works as expected and the price was great! Was out of stock and had to wait for delivery but we’ll worth it.

Out of the box, your Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to keep you connected to your home in real time, no matter where you are. The optional Ring Protect Plan is available for as little as $3/month per device. With this, videos of each ring, motion, and live view event are stored in the cloud, allowing you to review, share, and save them at your leisure. Without a plan, you will still receive real time motion and ring alerts, as well as have access to the Ring Live View feature. If you are having trouble accessing Live View quickly enough, try downloading the Rapid Ring app. Rapid Ring app works in conjunction with your regular Ring app, but enables you to get notifications faster and respond faster.
