Works great. Took a little planning on running the all the lines to and from the unit. It’s able to keep up with my tub and shower which neither use water saving faucets. The recirculating feature is pretty sweet as well once you have the schedule set up it’s really nice to turn the faucets and have warm water instantly and full heat within a few seconds.

I don’t like to give anything 5 stars until it passes the test of time. I have a 2 bath house with 5 (Me, wife, 2 young adults and pre-teen). I installed myself which was very straight forward. Unit came with valves and relief valve, so only needed piping. This unit has the recirculating pump built in and bypass valve. The Wi-Fi module setup was easy. Usually on things like this they can be a pain, but it connected first time. The app shows when the unit is running as well as when it is in circulating mode. Circ mode can be programmed for specific time and duration. Only thing negative was Rinnai does not clearly give info on gas regulator. Found YouTube video of plumber who installs these. Rinnai Guy. He has good info. I have been using it now for a couple months. No issues. Water is hot. Digital display on unit shows temp. Easy program interface. Very pleased so far.

Quality product, but...
The Rinnai tankless H2O heater works as advertised-- water gets heated quickly, and with the wi-fi controller installed, I can use my smartphone or tablet to control aspects of it, i.e. enabling hot water on demand and setting the temperature of the water. However it is the APP that needs some work. There is *minimal* information on the app's features and how to use it. It's a great idea that just needs a little work to make it truly useful.

a GREAT unit with a couple of minor gripes.
This compact unit was a GREAT buy. A little noisy for an outdoor unit when fan starts up but quickly settles down within a few seconds. If power is lost, temp settings are also lost.. the cover has to be removed from the unit to override the max temp of 120 which I set a little higher to 130. The recirculation system works flawlessly and I love it.. hot water in a second or two. It has not malfunctioned or caused any issues with supply of hot water, also saves a ton of space. Last but not least, the Rinnai app is nice to use. I can turn on/off the recirculation feature, change temp or view usage statistics real-time. Overall my family and I are happy with our purchase.

Disappointed
I purchased the circulation option to have hot water right away. I have had nothing but problems with this. First, it came with a WiFi controls which did not work well, so we had it replaced with a manual control panel. Every time the power goes out, the recirc function turns off. Then I have to go outside and remove the outer panel to reset it.

Our Installation
We have had our unit running for just about a month. It is a Sensei NG outdoor unit. We also purchased pipe cover and bottom plate. It is compact, easy installation when following Rinnai Instructions. Circulation pump provides hot water pretty quickly. Love that the unit can be easily repaired and serviced, which reduces costs.
On the operating side we found there isn’t a lot of information for the owner. We had some issues setting up WiFi buttons, we fixed one, now the other is not working. May just be batteries. WiFi App could be better, it takes a little time to get the hang of. We use it instead of the buttons. We have had a couple of times if you turn hot water off, then back on within a short period of time, the water turned cold, and seemed to not start heating without turning off hot water faucet off and waiting a minute to get hot water again. We haven’t figured that one out, we have talked with dealer and did some googling no clear answer yet.

Awesome
I never run out of hot water, and with the recirculating valve hot water is available as needed throughout my home. I don’t waste water waiting for it to heat.
