Hello AnaRP, Thank you for your quesiton. The V53De is a non-condensing unit, so it does not produce condensate during normal operation and therefore does not require or include a condensate drain line.

Hello Mark, The V53De does not have a pilot light. It is equipped with an ignition device which automatically lights the burner.
How far must unit be from window
Hello Robt, The V53DeN has required installation clearances around the unit itself, as well as separate clearance requirements for the exhaust termination in relation to doors, windows, and other openings. Clearances for the unit and vent termination must be installed in accordance with the installation manual and local code requirements. Because window clearance requirements can vary depending on the installation layout and vent location, we recommend consulting a licensed installer to confirm the proper placement for your specific application.
How do you install connection to outlet to plug in. I can not find plug
Hello Maria, The V53DeN is not designed to plug into a standard outlet. It requires 120 VAC, 60 Hz power from a properly grounded circuit, and a dedicated disconnect switch must be provided for the incoming power. The disconnect should be rated for outdoor use. Does this unit require a metal cabinet or can it be mounted directly to an exterior metal surface such as an all metal shop building?

Hello Rinsing, The V53De does not turn on based on outdoor temperature and will only operate when there is a demand for hot water. It does include built-in freeze protection, which activates in cold conditions to help protect the internal components of the unit. However, this protection does not extend to external piping or components, which should be properly insulated or protected from freezing. We recommend consulting a licensed installer to ensure the unit is properly installed and protected for your specific climate and application.
Does this unit have a remote control?
Hello Jaemack, This unit does not include a controller, but one can be purchased separately. The compatible controller for this unit is the MC-91-2W.
Is it safe to install this under the sink? Must it exhaust out side. Does it produce excess heat?
Hello Stanley, We do not recommend installing the unit under a sink. The unit requires specific installation clearances and uses room air for combustion, so it must be installed in a location that provides adequate airflow. In addition, combustion air must be free of corrosive compounds commonly found in products such as aerosol sprays, detergents, bleach, and cleaning solvents. The unit must also be properly vented to the outdoors in accordance with the installation and operation manual and all applicable local codes.
