About This Product

Rocket Pocket Door Frames save time - quick installation-are entirely made from strong galvanized steel, easy to assemble and fit in a 2 in. x 4 in. wall. Pocket doors are an amazing space saving solution for maximizing valuable floor space. By joining two singles you can easily create a double pocket door. Each kit comes with a joining bracket completely free of charge. The kit is available in 5 specific sizes, each made for a standard 80 in. door size, so you can choose the door you want. The components come pre-cut so there is no cutting. The maximum door weight is 130 lbs. which covers most standard doors. Each frame kit includes: a complete galvanized steel pocked and integral running track, both corrosion resistant. A set of runners each having two "sealed for life" chrome steel bearing wheels that are contained within the track and cannot "jump" off the rails. A standard spring steel braking system is included and breaks the door closure under normal usage. Door brackets to attach the door to the runners, adjustable up to 3/10 in. so your door can be at the perfect height. Included are also 1 in. plasterboard screws for attaching your plasterboard to the framework. All you need to supply - plasterboard and your choice of door and door jambs. Lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing. Full instructions come with the kit, including a QR code to the installation video.

Q:My door is 30x78, can I make the frame height to fit my door?
by|Apr 30, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  We do not reccomend that as it could comprise the frame and it will void the warranty

Q:I see that it is recommended to use this with at least 1/2" sheetrock. I assume because of the length of the screws. Would it be a problem to use 1/4" sheetrock with shorter self tapping screws? I have a very small area I'm working with.

    Answer This Question

A:  The minimum drywall thickness is 1/2” because of the pocket frame’s design.

              What great product
I bought both the jambs and the frame. The jambs are great, easy to install, and the instructions are clear. The frame is of very good quality, easy to install and inexpensive especially compared to other frames. I highly recommend it. Much better than wood frames.

My first pocket door. Lots of parts but if you follow the printed instructions and watch a video or two (google Rocket Pocket Door Install) and make sure your rough in is level & plumb, you’ll have one sweet pocket door. Love it!!

This frame exceeded expectations. Since this was a once in a lifetime remodel, I wanted to make sure there would be no re-work. Watched a Youtube video of this install and decided this was the way to go. Have not been disappointed. Pretty easy to assemble with the instructions and a little visual assistance with the video. The biggest thing for me was building the wall, as I am no professional builder, me and my 79 year old father are remodeling a master closet and once we had the wall plumb the rocket frame did what it was supposed to do. We installed and by miracles of miracles it was plumb on the first try and we had no reason to adjust further. We built our own door so it would be lighter...but yes i highly recommend. I will attach photos and the video of the easy glide....video was too large, they wouldn't accept it but the door glides smooth!

                    Almost impossible to trim out
Totally disappointed with this product and the ability to install trim around the metal frame. The separate kit has terrible reviews. I am reviewing possible ways to glue some trim to the metal, and then be able to install casing. I currently have the frame dry fitted and getting ready to pack it back to return to the store.
