      A:  Hi, This rod is capable of holding curtain loads up to 17 lbs. If your curtains are heavier than that you will need something stronger.

            I was not happy with the design and quantity of this product. When extended to about 184" was really flimsy and had several joints. The joints had white looking plastic connectors that really didn't blend with the dark bronze rod. I returned this curtain rod.
