I have bumpy walls and this wallpaper activator definitely helped with the adhering of the wallpaper more than water did. However, it didn't produce a sealing grip in some spots and the walls caused some bubbling of the paper. I had hoped using this product would have eliminated the need for glue

It's really like a thin cellulose non-staining wallpaper paste. Works great as generally pre-pasted papers have no slip and are hard to work with. This solves that problem very nicely.
