This is a knock off of a good shingle ripper...
This is a knock off of a good shingle ripper but falls short due to the thick end that actually lifts and pulls the nails. It is to thick to get under the heads of most nails and only works well if the nails and shingles come up together.

Great choice
The first roofing shovel I bought was smaller on the end and you had to bend over really far to use it. I like that I could stand up straight when using this one and the wider end let me lift shingle easier without just tearing through them. Only improvement would be a better handle at the end of it so you could push better.
