Sturdy construction, well made, and perfectly fits my Werner extension ladder and a Little Giant folding ladder. Just what I needed to stain the roof fascia board, which in my case is about 16 inches out from the building wall and slopes down from a peak about 20 feet above the ground. Because of the slope of the fascia, the extension ladder cannot be rested on the roof shingles or fascia without damage to the roof, and would result in a very unstable ladder. The Roof Zone ladder stabilizer and stand-off puts the ladder 19 inches from the building wall, making it easy and safe to stain the fascia (see attached image). The yellow bumper feet worked well to protect the wall from damage. I see lots of other applications for this great ladder accessory!

Attaching to Ladder: Problem Solved
Perfect accessory for repairing the gutter along the front of my house which could be challenging with nearly 3' deep soffits! Only problem was the rung attachments didn't quite fit enough to lock them in place. Used a large C clamp to pull the two together and insert the lock.

It works!
The stabilizer works very well, and is a huge improvement over leaning the ladder as is against the siding. I straddled over my rain gutters and it kept the ladder very stable. However, assembly was difficult onto my aluminum d-rung 375# rated ladder. The holes for the adjustable pull pins were partially blocked by the heavy duty ladder rung. SO, I think this stabilizer is more for the 200-250# ladder range, where the ladder rungs would be smaller. I got around the issue with 1/4-20 bolts to replace the pull pins. These fit the holes easily and eliminated any drilling into my brand new ladder. While assembling the unit, I snapped off 2 of the supplied bolts, so I had to make another trip to Homedepot for replacements. Hardened steel bolts would have been a much better choice by the mfg. So, be careful when you assemble or you'll snap the cheapbolts.

Adds a definite amount of safety, stability and allows some space between the gutter and the ladder. Seems like it is built to last. For long extension ladders it adds weight above the center of gravity and making the ladder harder to move. It is safer to remove it and reinstall if positioning the ladder in a different part of the roof where you cannot easily "tip and slide".

It's just what I needed. I like its' dual use. I have used it on the roof as well as on the siding and it was easy to change its position. Very quick to install on my ladder. It makes the ladder top heavy as expected and since I had a guy using it it wasn't an issue for him. I did move it to the siding and didn't have an issue on controlling the ladder. I haven't tried moving it to the roof myself, so from a woman's point of view I am not sure. I've only had it for about a month so I cannot comment on its durability. It seems to be made well so I don't expect it to break down. It totally met my expectations.

Easy to assemble and install, drops right on the ladder and locks with pins. Stand-off was enough to comfortably change the bulb in a lamp situated in the center of a 2-story 6x7 open porch.

I had leaf guard installed on my gutters and because we have a lot of trees I still need to get up on the roof to remove dead branches, I was no longer able to use the gutter struts to tie off the top of my ladder so I purchased this ladder stabilizer and it works great and very secure.
