Rubber-Cal's Neoprene sheeting is a tough synthetic rubber that is ideal for industrial applications. While other rubber materials may degrade quickly under intense physical conditions, this neoprene sheet is designed to endure. Our industrial neoprene is actually an artificial rubber compound, made with a 10% rubber neoprene base and a blend of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and chloroprene rubber (CR) to give it the strength of both synthetic rubber materials. This mix of synthetic rubbers gives the sheet neoprene moderate resistance to oils, chemicals, and many damaging effects of weather. The result is a smooth and solid black rubber sheeting that is highly desired for commercial and industrial applications. The neoprene material holds up against acetic acids, petroleum-based solvents, and certain oils and chemicals without showing wear for a long time. Rubber neoprene is also highly valued in outdoor applications, as it can withstand UV rays, ozone, and damaging weather effects. Our elastic neoprene offers excellent all-around resistance, making it versatile enough for indoor and outdoor applications alike. Another key feature of this sheet neoprene is its intense temperature range and resistance. The rubber neoprene performs well in temperatures from -20°F to 212°F, which makes it the ideal choice for most industrial applications. The 50A durometer neoprene is strong yet pliable, making it versatile enough for any application from insulation to industrial gasketing.

Hi Fred, Thank you for your question! At this time, we do not have any official adhesive recommendations for bonding this neoprene rubber sheet to itself. In general, customers commonly use neoprene-compatible contact adhesives or rubber cements with similar materials, but adhesive selection can vary depending on the specific application and environment. This commercial-grade 50A neoprene sheet is ideal for applications requiring moderate oil, weather, and ozone resistance, along with flexibility and durability. It is frequently used for industrial gasketing, sound and vibration dampening, underlayment, marine applications, laboratory equipment protection, and general construction or industrial uses. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hi Millie, Thank you for your question! Yes, you can definitely cut the 50A Durometer Neoprene Sheet. It cuts very easily with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge to guide your line. Just make a few firm passes with the knife rather than trying to cut through it all at once. This neoprene material is commonly used for gasketing, sound insulation, equipment protection, and general industrial applications. It offers good flexibility and moderate resistance to oils, weathering, and abrasion, making it a versatile option for many projects. Please let us know if you have any other questions! Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello Dan, Thank you for your question! The 50A durometer neoprene sheet is a medium-firm rubber that offers some give under pressure but doesn’t compress like a sponge. It’s ideal for sealing and slight cushioning, so it should conform slightly to fill the gap behind your stainless steel cabinets and drawers, while remaining stable and supportive. Additionally, the neoprene is weather-resistant, making it well-suited for outdoor applications like your kitchen! If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out! Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello, Thank you for your question! All rubber materials can help with sound dampening, and generally, the thicker the material, the more effective it will be at blocking sound. Let us know if you have any other questions! Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello Bill, Thank you for your question! Due to the challenges associated with vertically bonding materials, we do not have a specific adhesive recommendation for this application. We suggest contacting an adhesive supplier directly to inquire about a product best suited for your needs. They will be able to provide expert guidance on selecting an adhesive that works effectively for bonding a Neoprene Sheet to a horse trailer wall. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello Kenneth, Thanks for your question! Under ideal, climate-controlled conditions, the shelf life of the 50A Durometer Neoprene Sheet is typically around 20 years. In real-world conditions, however, the lifespan may be shorter due to factors such as temperature, humidity, and exposure to chemicals or UV light. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out. Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello, Thank you for the question. This Neoprene sheet can be used as a cold weather exterior pipe wrap in a protected area since it’s rated for temperatures down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Just a little tip: EPDM is better than Neoprene for OV outdoor applications though.
Dear Jayda, Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Rubber-Cal 50A Durometer Neoprene Sheet. While the Neoprene Sheet is not the most ideal material for use under an above-ground pool as a liner protector, and the size you selected appears too small, I would recommend considering either the EPDM Commercial Grade 60A or the Elephant Bark recycled rubber flooring. Both of these options provide better durability and coverage for your pool setup. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out. Sincerely, Robert Morris Rubber-Cal
