I absolutely love the Rubber-Cal Dura-Chef kitchen mat. This is a very rugged material and offers great slip protection and a bit of relief for long walks through the kitchen. While I only had one piece and couldn't check the interlock system, the interlock points look very strong and simple to put together. I picked this up to be used in my kitchen and placed it in front of the sink as whenever dishes are done, water ends up on the floor and then you have a slip hazard. I'm planning on getting another mat sections to finish of the more high traffic spots of my kitchen, as well as on my porch for mud and snow season.

The best feature for me is anti-fatigue. It is very comfortable to stand on for long periods of time. It is made of non-slip rubber which is a plus. It looks great in front of the kitchen sink. It does tend to move around a bit, but hopefully adding a second one will stop this. I ordered a second one to fill the area completely.
One big negative is the strong rubber smell. It smells like a set of new tires. Even after a week, the odor lingers, although it seems to be subsiding. When I receive the second one, I plan to take them outside and rinse them with a hose and maybe some mild detergent.
The die cut holes are not cut very accurately, but this is not a dealbreaker. I only notice when I stare down at them, but I don’t spend a lot of time staring at the kitchen floor.

This cushioned floor mat feels nice underfoot. Great if you spend a lot of time in front of your stove. Should you need a wider or longer mat, you can interconnect them together forming a much wider or longer mat, depending on where you attach the mats together. While I enjoyed using it and having it placed in front the range, when the mat is new, it will take a couple weeks or more for the rubber smell to fade away. At times the smell was pretty strong and I didn’t like that. I had put the mat outside and left it there to air out for a good week or longer and then brought it back in the kitchen and it was a lot better. This mat feels very sturdy and its appears to be the same ones they use in commercial kitchens, so you know it will last and take a lot of abuse.

The Dura-Chef Interlock Kitchen Mat does exactly what it says it will do: provide a secure, non slip mat under your feet. It is thick, at 5/8 of an inch, affording both a cushioned surface and a measure of separation from any spilled liquids. The material while offering a measure of "give" has a closed surface that will not absorb either liquids or odors. As to solids, the holes at about 3/4 of an inch in diameter will easily allow for crumbs and the like to be vacuumed up easily. The edge of the mat has a series of connectors which allow mats to be interconnected. The only caveat is the mat did give off a "curing rubber" odor for a few days. While this mat was designed for a commercial kitchen, it can work just as well in a home workshop, mud room, or garage entry. In business, it should be considered for use in factories or in office areas. Overall, this is an excellent well-made thick non-slip mat made from reclaimed rubber.

The Rubber-Cal comfort mat is just what the doctor ordered. good looking, easy to clean soft but not really spongy. It has little bumps on the back that not only hold it in place, but raise it up enough to be able to hose down the mat in my garage and not have the water hopelessly trapped in the holes. They even have an interlocking edge making it easy to join several of these mats together. I would highly recommend these mats for anyone who stands in place for extended periods of time.

Nice and heavy so it stays put, yet easy enough to move around. It is very comfortable to stand on for long periods of time, making it perfect for a kitchen, laundry room, a workshop or behind a counter in a store. It has a strong rubber smell when first opened, however it disappeared fairly quickly. It has interlocking edges so you can buy more pieces and add them together if you have a larger area you want to cover. I put mine in my basement shop area to make it more comfortable on my feet when I’m standing at my scroll saw for long periods of time, and it does a great job!

My garage tends to have puddles of water near the exterior door when it rains or snow melts. These rubber mats are perfect for that application. They are 5/8” thick so when placed where the water settles, you don’t have to get wet walking over the puddle. The open pattern allows any water tracked in from outside to harmlessly fall to the floor and prevent you from stepping in it. The interlocking sides of the mat help keep multiple mats in place. I have been using these mats for a few years and just added another to widen the area I walk through without stepping in water. I wholeheartedly recommend these mats!

The Rubber-Cal Dura-Chef Interlock 5/8 in. x 36 in. x 36 in. Black Kitchen Mat is SUCH a safe and effective kitchen mat for tile and potential slippery areas. Not only is it such thick rubber it never moves, but also feels great under your feet (either by itself or underneath a kitchen rug). In addition, the separating lines that form each square are great guidelines to use to cut and make the mat smaller if needed. The only issue is that our particular mat is for residential use - not a commercial kitchen - and the rubber scent is so extravagant I left it out in the weather (ie winter elements including wind, rain, and ice/snow AND doused it with scented spray to try and get rid of the rubber smell!

I chose this mat to be used in my garage in front of my workbench. I am very happy with it. There is a lot of cushion with this thing. More so than I thought there would be. It is heavy duty and laid almost perfectly flat right out of the box, despite having been rolled up for at least a couple of weeks. The bottom of the mat has lots of protruding dimples which should help it dry out quickly by not retaining water. Really happy with this product.
