This soft neoprene is a softer version of our regular neoprene rubber. It has a low durometer 45A, meaning that it is softer and more flexible. Our soft neoprene elastomer is made using a blend of neoprene and SBR rubbers. This blend of synthetic rubbers gives this black neoprene material a unique set of resistance properties. This is commercial grade material that is ideal for any application requiring a soft, resilient surface. This is an excellent soft and elastic material for light-duty commercial applications with chemicals and moderate levels of oils and ozone. This class of synthetic rubber (45 durometer) is among the softest and most flexible elastomers available on the market. When an application calls for a flexible gasket part, soft neoprene is the way to go. Although this level of flexibility comes with a sacrifice of some resistance to physical abrasions, this rubber can still handle a moderate amount of abrasions. However, it is far more suited for non-abrasive purposes. Our soft black neoprene sheets are excellent for resisting chemicals. Given its softer nature, it is better suited to light and regular commercial applications that involve chemicals like certain salts, acids, and gases. The material will not degrade in their presence, and by extension, neither will your machine or application. While not recommended for heavy oil use, soft neoprene will hold its own when exposed to regular, non-excessive amounts.

Hello, Thank you for you question! This 45A Neoprene sheet is fairly soft and will compress under pressure, but reducing it to half of its 1/8‑inch thickness would require considerable force. It is not designed to function like a “race track” gasket that fully crushes to create a tight water seal. Neoprene sheets of this type are commonly used for gasketing, cushioning, vibration dampening, weatherstripping, sound control, and light chemical- or water-resistant applications, offering versatility and durability in commercial and industrial settings. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Best, Robert Morris, Rubber-Cal Inc.
Hello, This listing is for only one rubber sheet of the product.
The Neoprene rubber is a good option because it has decent UV/ozone resistance, but we definitely recommend the EPDM rubber as the best suitable option.
RV dealers have parts departments, consult their parts catalog or call them. EPDM is what Jayco used to use.
You need an acrylic solvent or polyurethane based glue, but please make sure that the brand you use is cleared by that manufacturer for bonding rubber onto steel. Thank you, Rubber-Cal Inc.
There is one sheet in a roll of rubber.
