DURABLE TEXTURED FLOORING
The Tuff-N- Lastic rubber flooring has a nice textured surface that gives this mat slip resistance and is made out of 100 % reclaimed rubber. I used this 4 ft. by 4 ft. flooring to form a transition between the half inch thick rubber mats in a work out room and the floor in a storage closet area that I want protected. The rubber mats are too thick to alow door to open and close so I needed something that is less than a 1/4 inch thick. This mat/flooring top surface pattern closely resembles the pattern on the rubber mats in the rest of the room. I used a metal carpet to hard floor transition piece to securely hold Rubber Cal mat against thick rubber mats and PVC composite molding to cover edges of flooring where it meets baseboard in room. After further examination while installing mat using double sided carpet tape I noticed areas that have defects in the pattern that stopped me from finishing installation and have me undecided on whether I will keep this flooring on closet floor, order another mat or find an alternative similar flooring. I would think a company like Rubber Cal would have better quality control.

Anti-Slip and Made from 100 reclaimed rubber
We ordered this mat for our new shed; it allows us to step inside safely because of the anti-slip pebble top surface. It will keep us safe from slipping when we must walk into the shed if our shoes are wet. And once in place it will also gather most of the dirt and dust from our shoes when we first walk in from the pebble top. And the best part is that is made from 100 percent reclaimed rubber, so it has been recycled to help save the environment. It is 1/8 in. thick and adds protection to the floor as well. Made in China.

Perfect No-Slip Rubber Mat
The Tuff-n-Lastic Runner Mat by Rubber Cal is well made and is the perfect addition to any area that you are worried about slips, trips and falls. The black rubber mat is 1/8” thick and is 4’W x 4’L, which equates to 16 sq. ft. The back as well as the top of the mat are both textured. While each texture is different, the bottom texture provides plenty of surface contact and helps eliminate the mat from moving, no matter what surface it is placed on. To help keep this mat in place, it can also be secured with double sided flooring tape. The top pebble like texture also aids in eliminating slips by adding plenty of texture, regardless of your foot ware. At 1/8”thick, the mat is lightweight, easy to move, yet extremely durable and heavy enough to stay in place. When you first unroll the mat, the edges are curled up as expected. With a little work (simply roll it in the opposite direction a few times or weigh it down), the curled edges are worked out and before long it is laying fat. As with any rubber mat or rubber product there is an inherent “rubber odor”. Over time it does dissipate and before long it is barely recognizable.
I am using this mat in my garage, where at times the concrete can become a slippery, especially in the winter. Right now I have it placed in front of one entry doors into the garage. However, I also plan to use this mat when I am doing maintenance on any of my outdoor equipment. There have been plenty of times that while I have been changing the oil and making repairs to my lawnmower or snow blower, fluids have leaked or spilled. Not only does the texture of the mat help while I am manipulating the equipment, but it also makes for easy cleanup. All of these features put together makes this product extremely versatile.

Air & sun it for days/wks if use indoors
The pebble texture on top is nice looking. The back has a fine crosshatch. The color is even. It’s very soft, dense, flexible, and cushiony under foot. Not as thick as my yoga mat but could alleviate standing or sitting fatigue on hard surfaces for a few hours. The main benefit is that it is grippy when wet, so I might cut it in half and put each on my stoop landings should I decide to keep it outdoors.
I was originally thinking I’d use it to protect the hardwood floor in a kitty litter room/closet, but Its recycled rubber has a strong rubber smell, stronger than virgin rubber. The label does not mention VOC levels, and after smelling it, I wouldn’t want it in my house or near pets or humans unless it is fully off-gassed outdoors, if that’s even possible. I washed it with vinegar and water on both sides and have had it out over some chairs in the heatwave sun for a week, flipping it occasionally. It’s certainly better than it was, but still has some smell, so I’m keeping out longer before deciding where to use it. I read it can take at least 28 days, maybe forever. If I smell anything, I’ll use it outdoors away from the cats and family.
Good mat; best used outdoors.

so many uses!
This 4x4' rubber mat is great for using in a shed, basement, or outside. I'm using this in front of my grill right now but plan to move it into my shed for my portable generator to sit on. It has a really strong rubber smell since it's made of 100% reclaimed rubber so that's why I currently have it outside until the smell dissipates in a week or so. It's 1/8" thick and just the right cushioning for my applications. I really like the slip resistant "pebble" texture on this mat and it can easily be cleaned by hosing off or sweeping. You can order this mat in different sizes and it can also be trimmed to suit your needs. My only wish is that the manufacturer should roll the mat with the top on the outside so that it instantly lays flat rather than the edges lifting when you roll it out (see pics). The price point is great on this mat and the longer size would be perfect for under the car in the garage! I can think of many different ways to use this type of mat! I really like it!

Excellent non-slip surface
I was pleased with this mat the second I unwrapped it. It is thicker than I expected which will make for better comfort for my feet. The Rubber-Cal Tuff-n-Lastic Runner Mat 1/8 in. T x 4 ft. W x 4 ft. L Black Rubber Flooring (16 sq. ft.) was ready for installation as soon as I unrolled it from the tube insert. I am using it on my garage floor in a high-traffic area. The mat does not lay flat instantly but after a few hours in the hot sun, it warmed up and then laid flat.

4x4 floor mat
I needed something to use at my entrance to help with making it easier to pick up sawdust. this mat worked perfectly, It came well boxed, wish it was rolled the otherway as it had a textured side and a smooth side, I opted for the smooth side up even thow the textured side looked better. With the smooth side up the ends did not roll up and catch on my equipments wheels. It is light weight and easy to move around if needed. looks great.

All the products from Rubber Cal are EXCEPTIONAL! I love this mat for my garage. This mat is perfect for creating a clean space when I am working in my garage in front of my chest freezer. This is truly a versatile product. You can use this on the floor of your garage or shed to keep it neat and clean. You can cut it down to a smaller size and use it for a door mat if you prefer. This is made from 100% reclaimed rubber products. The size is 1/8 inch thick and it is 4 foot by 4 foot square.
