A: I image they can be used outdoors. I have them in my garage and I am pleased with the product
A: I believe you can. The racks are aluminum covered I plastic and the hooks are aluminum covered in rubber.
A: You can, but make sure to use silicone where you use the screws to hold them to what you are attaching them to. You may also want to spray the metal with a clear coat of some type to protect against corrosion.
A: I suspect that they could be used outdoors, however they were likely designed for use in an indoor garage or shop environment.
A: You could if you line the interior with Plywood. With 5/8-inch Plywood you could hold quite a bit on the hooks using 5/8-inch screws. Of course, thicker Plywood would allow you to use bigger screws and heavier loads.
A: Thanks for your interest in our products and reaching out! The Rubbermaid FastTrack Garage Multi-Purpose Kit is recommended for places with studs to attach the rail.
A: Definitely if the walls are sturdy to hold up your intended weights.
A: Depends on the wall width. They come with 1.25 or 1.5 inch screws for mounting. It will be flimsy if it is just screwed into sheet metal. You would want something more substantial like the structural rib of the trailer. Then you have to be concerned with where wiring/cables may run through. And of course you would not want to penetrate through to the outside. Your other option could be riveting and using washers however you have to consider how much weight you are putting on the racks. Riveting would be for lightweight....not a "bunch" of equipment like weed eaters, blowers, trimmers, etc. Your details provided are too vague. Above are the questions you need to ask of yourself (or the manufacturer of trailer). Good luck.
A: I don’t see any reason why not. The top bar needs to be mounted to a secure support. It Carry’s the weight.
