Rust-Oleum Automotive 1-qt. Low VOC Mineral Spirits Solvent (Case of 4) is a general purpose solvent. Used for thinning most oil base paints, varnishes, stains, polyurethanes and wiping oil finishes. Helps to increase flow and reduce brush drag or pull.
  • Thin oil base paints, stains, varnishes and polyurethanes to improve leveling, reduce viscosity or increase penetration
  • Do not use with shellac, lacquers or latex paints
  • Add gradually and stir thoroughly until desired consistency is obtained
  • Excessive amounts may decrease gloss and hiding power
  • Aids in leveling and extends drying time slightly
  • Clean brushes, spray equipment, rollers and trays as long as paint or varnish remains wet on these tools
  • Also be used to wipe away dirt, dust and oily films from wood or metal surfaces
