I don't see why it wouldn't, it would be a judgment call on how many coats to apply.

Not in my experience. It was very clear and very shiny. I put it over red-brown color, though, so you might need to test it out.

Thank you for reaching out, Maggy! Applying more coats of Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane for Floors may effect the finish and it may not be as smooth. Since 4 coats were applied, you may also need to extend the cure and dry times. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

Answer

We can help you! Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane is suitable for use on horizontal floor surfaces only and will not be able to adhere well to vertical surfaces like walls. It can be applied using an applicator, lamb’s wool applicator pad, polyester brush, or a weighted T-bar. A sprayer is not recommended as it will reduce the surface protection the coating can provide. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

what kind of roller do you use to apply finish?

Answer

Happy to clear things up, Paul! For the best results and smooth finish, we recommend applying Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane for Floors with a universal floor applicator, lambswool applicator pad, polyester brush, or a weighted T-bar. We do not recommend applying with a roller. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

Left a blue haze
I applied the finish as the directions called for. The coats seemed to dry fast which was convenient for recoating. Unfortunately with every coat, the dried finish had a blue haze that got worse and worse. I ended up sanding the whole floor back down to bare wood and starting over. Never had this issue with the bedroom floor that i did with a different brand. Maybe i did something wrong but it definitely didnt give me satisfactory results

I used this on a bamboo floor after sanding off the old finish. It needed four coats to look this good. I think we probably should have used high gloss, though.

Used this type for the first and it did fine just stand back in your light to watch your roller paths to keep from over laps or missing spots. Keep it uniform and even

Waste of money, worthless product.
DO NOT RECOMMEND SPEND THE EXTRA AND GET A GOOD PRODUCT After installing new floors in my daughters room and spending all the time and energy to apply this product 4 times, very disappointed. Once it was down I waited the 7 days for it to cure. When I finally went in to put the finishing touches on the room I found even with socks it was scratching. It continues to scratch all over even after waiting almost 3 weeks for it to “cure”. First steps my dog takes on it, scratches right through...garbage. Looks good I guess as long as you don’t plan to walk on it or use the floor. The other product we used on the rest of the floors has stood up excellent. I bought this because it was on the shelf and convenient. It actually is going to cost me more time and money to refinish with a better product.

We understand your frustration, Mike! To ensure proper drying with Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Water-Based Polyurethane, it is essential to apply only when the air temperature is between 60-80°F. A minimum of 3 coats are recommended, but no more than 2 coats should be applied on the same day. We need to know more about your experience to get to the bottom of this. Please call us at 800-901-0411 to discuss further. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum
Complete waste of money, Buyer beware!
I followed every step on the bottle, every step, wasted tons of money on these products, just to have all my hard work soak into the grain of the 80 year oak old flooring and completely disappear! I will never again but this junk! I spent 30 plus hours sanding!

GREAT PRODUCT/WILL USE AGAIN
this is a great product and reasonable price considering the other brands. being water based had no high fumes. spread with a Water Whiz applicator and went on nice and smoothly. Easy clean up. Made my 107 yr old floors great.

Easy to use...
This product goes on the floor clean and easy. As directed, I did NOT shake the bottle prior to pouring into paint pan so I had NO issues with bubbles. It goes on easy and dries in the time that they said that it would. I have used this product two different times and have had great results both times. Once I used the flat the second time I used the semi-gloss and I prefer the finish on that one. I would use this product again!

Love this stuff!!!
Easy to work with; fast drying! Says dries in an hour, dried in about 45 minutes. Cleans up easily with soap and water. This is the way to go.
