Can concrete stain be applied to this product?

Can this be used on step edges? What are application tools needed?
Hi Mable, our RockSolid Putty Patch can be applied to step edges. The best way to do this is to mix the putty, then apply either by hand (wearing gloves), or using a trowel or putty knife. The putty will achieve an initial set after 10-15 minutes, at which point a concrete trowel or putty knife may be used to shave away the excess putty even with the rest of the step. Once the putty has fully hardened, you can also sand to smooth any rough or uneven edges. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2
