Great results
As long as you follow the instructions, you'll have an excellent outcome. It's very funny and takes a couple of days to disapate. I did tile in a walk-in shower and it came out great.

A lot of work for a mediocre result
First and foremost, I may have done something wrong which caused the issues I'm about to go over. The product arrives in a package with two well sealed containers. The minimal instructions say to mix thoroughly and roll on with a short nap roller. It does provide ratios if less the entire contents are to be used, and also notes to use mixed components within 6 hours but only need to wait one hour for a second cote. It does not specify whether the ratio is by weight of volume, but the volume of the two cans verifies it's volume. The instructions also discusses surface prep which I believe I followed to the letter. However, the instructions do not warn that finish defect will telegraph through, so even small scratches need to be fixed if a smooth finish is desired. As with painting, the better the surface, the better the result. As can be seen in the pictures, the end result was very bumpy. I don't know if I used the wrong type of roller, but the instructions clearly state that bubbles are normal and will level out. They didn't, so the finish is not smooth. There are some runs, but I will accept the blame for that, I should have had better lighting so I could see the runs and roll them out. I did have a little bit of product left over, I think if I were to do this again I would not do a full can but save off about 5% for touch up work. There is also the matter of the prep work. This product requires the tub to be spotless, free of caulk, any chips to be repaired, and then sanded before application. In all, I spent several hours scattered over several days to prep the tub. The chips themselves require significant prep work and sanding afterword to be smooth if they are not to be noticeable after the refinishing kit is applied. . Oh .. and this stuff stinks. The smell permeated the entire house for a few hours. We had to sleep in the guest bedroom for three nights, even with the master bath fan running continuously, the windows open, and the bedroom door closed. The tub looks 100% better than it did before, so at least I didn't have to buy a new tub. The goal of this product was to make the tub look better as we remodel other parts of the house, and for that it was successful. In all, the actual application was pretty simple and perhaps with better instructions, such as specific examples of rollers to use, this might have turned out better. As bathtubs can be purchased for as little as $300, one should consider the amount if time needed to refinish versus replacing. In general, I was pleased with this kit. I personally think one should buy two of them and practice with one first to make sure one can get the finish desired. I would also like to see the kit come with more detailed instructions. For instance, I looked several times and could not find cleanup recommendations. I finally found it at the bottom of the supplies list (varnish thinner and isopropyl alcohol.) The three stars rating is more a reflection of the lack of proper instructions that lead to a less than optimal finish than the product itself.

Excellent results!
Used on tiled shower and floor. Used a high adhesive bonding primer after thoroughly cleaning with bleach and sanding. Took care not to go back over areas already painted and got drips right away. You should wait 20 mins after mixing 2 cans to apply.

Rust-Oleum Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit
Rust-Oleum has been a great product, we have used it on numerous previous projects, especially the spray paint. The 1 qt. Coastal Fog Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit is a two-part epoxy acrylic designed to rejuvenate ceramic and porcelain surfaces like tubs, sinks and showers in just minutes. We are having very cold weather, high was 18 degrees today. We have purchased: 1 Handle and 6 disposable sponge rollers, 4" masking tape, sponge paint brushes, sandpaper, have some cleanser and have N95 respirator masks. Due to the lack of ventilation at this time, only our bathroom vent, we have been advised to wait for better weather to be able to safely ventilate by opening up.

    Rethinking it
This is advertised as simple to apply and ready in one day. After some more research and looking through the literature in the package, that does not seem to be the case. What attracted me to this was the minimal prep work required, Which turns out of if you want great results is anything but minimal. This is a two part epoxy solution and will require significant ventilation which is not available to me in the winter. Previously applied caulking needs to be removed then reapplied, and the tub really shouldn't be used for several days later.

Rust-Oleum tub and tile refinishing kit.
I choose this item to brighten up our old tub since we were redoing our bathroom. The kit includes 1base 25.6 oz. And 1 activator 6.4oz. It applies on smooth and is self leveling….drys in about 3 hours. One kit covers 70 to 110 sq.ft area or two coats. Contains acrylic and the tough scratch resistance of epoxy. The product looks great when finished. Washable finish,no yellowing. Also superior adhesion in water. Excellent wear an abrasion resistance which gives years of protection. The one thing to note when using this product is proper PPE and make sure the room is ventilated when using this product. Make or old tub look new again.

    looks great
Got this to transform my old yellow cast iron tub from the 1960's. According to the instructions, you should remove all hardware and drains, as well as caulk and any mold or mildew. To prepare surface you are supposed to scrub with an abrasive cleaner then you are to sand entire surface with 400#/600# grit sandpaper. Vacuum and rinse away any dust and also wipe with a tack cloth immediately before application. To apply simply mix the two-part formula and you can apply with a brush or foam roller. Looks great, hopefully by following the prep instructions the finish will hold up.

Works great when doing an entire bath
This epoxy formula is definitely higher quality and more durable than past tub and tile "paint". This one quart version will do two coats on a normal size bathtub so it should be able to get the job done for most projects. I could not find any instructions on how to mix small amounts so I would say it is best for when you are doing an entire item. I wanted to fix a small area on my bathtub and it did work by just guessing on the mixing. After pouring the big can into a bigger container, you pour the small can into the big can, mix well and begin painting. But first you need to make sure the area you are painting is totally clean and also make sure your brush or roller is not going to lose any fiber or bristles. This is oil based so cleanup is with thinner and the room you are working in needs to be well ventilated.

    A great good weather project
Rust-Oleum Specialty 1 qt. Coastal Fog Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit We have a tub in the house that is showing wear, and is getting dull from scratches. We went to price a replacement and found a new tub would be expensive, but hiring a plumber to install it professionally was out of sight. My husband and I decided to try a refinishing kit first! If it worked, great, we would save a lot, if it didn’t, we would be right where we are now. A bonus was having a friend who promised to guide us through the process, step by step. We were told we should wait til the weather warms up a bit, since we will have to open windows for maximum circulation of air during the work.

    Easy to apply
This refinishing kit by Rustoleum is made up of two parts, A (activator) and B (base). Caution: Make sure there is plenty of ventilation in the room before you start this project. The top of the box gives a very detailed list of the items you will need to have handy, along with a notation that this project will take up to three days before you can use this particular area. Once the two parts are mixed, use a varnish brush to apply, in nice even strokes. It really doesn't take that long to complete, as long you have fully prepared beforehand, leaving you with a nice, new looking tub, sink or shower. Again, remember, this product is an epoxy acrylic, so please make sure you have good ventilation.
