Loved it
I absolutely love this. I usually acid etch glass to make it look frosty but I was in a hurry and I thought I'd try something else. This dried very quickly it went on smoothly and evenly. I was shocked. I am having so much fun. I can't believe how fast it dried almost instantly. It goes on clear and dries frosty. I haven't tried Washing it in the dishwasher I probably won't Because of the trim that I put on this glass.. But it worked perfectly for what I needed it for and I'm sure it would be excellent to put on a window for privacy. That gives me a good idea. Lol I think I will do that...

Frosted wedding signs
I was looking for frosted acrylic for wedding signs but online they were pricey so I attempted this frosted spray paint! I cleaned the acrylic sheet with alcohol then did about 3-4 coats/piece and let them dry in between coats! I think they came out wonderful, going to try a larger piece of acrylic and use the same method! Highly recommend this spray paint, I still have a lot left in the can too!

Works exactly as you need it to.
Used it to spray the window at the top of my front door. The morning light still comes in, but now we have full privacy. It was easy. Done in 5 minutes. Only needed 2 light coats. I'm a repeat customer as I've used it before.

    Solid color
I’ve sprayed paint with cans since high school decades ago. The cam works fine. I used this frost color on a bathroom window and a side door. The bigger the window, the more skill is required. Overall I’m satisfied and would recommend this for windows.

        Technique is key
I got this with the intention of frosting the windows in our office entryway, and it turned out to be quite the process. Give cans in, this is what I’ve learned: 1 - Forget what you think you know about applying spray paint. You must get the glass thoroughly and evenly wet until it is completely clear between coats. Light coats or uneven ‘clear’ coats will leave splotches / unevenness 2 - Be very careful to keep the tip of your finger out of the stream of the spray to avoid droplets on the surface 3 - In addition to the fumes, This will make a huge mess. Fortunately, it cleans up fairly easily, but there was a chalk-like dust EVERYWHERE 4 - One can does not go very far. Get extra. I’m not completely satisfied with the result in the photo here, but I think that if I had better technique from the start it would be in a much better place than it is right now. Hopefully these notes are helpful!

We appreciate the feedback, Kristin. For the best results with the Rust-Oleum Specialty Frosted Glass Spray, make sure to hold the can upright 10-16" from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply two or more wet coats a few minutes apart for best appearance. A wet coat should appear shiny as it is applied to the surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum

          Excellent product
Happy with the results! Did 4 light coats 5 minutes apart. Switched directions and starting spots. Worked left to right from the top. Next coat bottom to top right to left X2. Make sure you clean the glass well and allow to dry properly.

            Awful product
The spray can spits droplets of the product onto the glass causing spots that are very visible before and after the product drys. I tried a second can to see if I had a defective nozzle. I had the same results. Also, as an experienced cabinet maker, I have extensive experience spraying paints, stains, and poly and this product is about the worst I have ever used.

Oh no, this is not what we like to hear! After shaking Rust-Oleum Specialty Frosted Glass Spray Paint vigorously for at least one minute once the mixing ball begins to rattle, and frequently during use, the paint should spray perfectly. Give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.

              works great
This turned out pretty good! Can’t see out or in once this was done. This is exactly what i was wanting. Plus it still lets in light so that is a big positive.
