The Rust-Oleum 12 oz. Hammered spray paints hide flaws and imperfections found in scratched, rusted and pitted metals. It comes in a variety of colors that can be applied directly over rust spots. Great for use on wheelbarrows, lighting fixtures and other objects. The Rust-Preventive formula dries to touch in 15 minutes and the 12 oz. can works on areas up to 25 sq. ft.

A:  When using both product together, you may see a slight variance between the Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered Spray Paint and the Rust-Oleum Universal Advanced Paint + Primer in One Spray Paint.     A:  Happy to help! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered Spray Paint can be used on range hoods as long as the surface does not reach temperatures above 200°F. The surface must also be free of any polish and be lightly sanded to create a surface profile to ensure full adhesion. Since this is an aerosol paint, you will want to ensure that you are applying in an area with proper ventilation and air circulation, such as outdoors or in an open garage. Surrounding areas should also be covered to protect them from any overspray. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

      A:  Happy to help. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered Spray Paint cannot be applied to galvanized metal or to cold galvanizing spray paint. Oil based paints are not compatible with the zinc in galvanized metal (or cold galvanizing spray paint), it will not adhere and peel from the surface.           For once a product that works as advertised! Results came out great. Painted some old brass lights from the 80’s that we couldn’t find suitable replacements for. Made them look more modern and a whole lot better! Just cleaned the brass really well and paint adhered fine and dried quick.

              Long lasting color protection

                Works well and looks great
                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The spray paint is a textured black that covers very well. I used it to freshen up the hardware in my kitchen and it seems to be holding up well after several days of use. The cap on the can was weirdly difficult for me to remove and when spraying I did get some black on the finger pushing the button down, but overall a good product.
