after getting this product together the measurements weren't right had nails sticking through wood, gaps between joints
not good product too many gaps big gap at top even on top on one end but exposed wood on the other end, sunlight seen in the shelving through the gaps, manufacturers measurements wrong and wrong size material, because of this had nails sticking through in a few places, the bookcase when put together is weak and wobbly for $200 !!!! cheap thin plyboard! Strongly suggested if you purchase buy wood glue for extra stability (not mentioned in directions) needs more angle brackets for the very top! Anchor is at bottom would seem if it falls the anchor should be at the top not bottom (opinion).

I have ordered 3 Sauder 5- Shelf Bookcase. Im really happy with them , they were easy to install and put together. I did all 3 by myself .The quality of this book shelf was very beautiful I got a lot of compliments on them. I have ordered many book shelfs from home depot I can honestly say that they were very well made this time .I am glad that the improve their manufacturing . It was great that you have labeled the boards all of them and they come with all the screws in the box , an instruction was in the box as well the good thing was in the instruction book it shows a web video you can Watch. I wish they do that with all their manufacturing furniture I am very pleased with the improved ,in the bookshelves so thank you very much. and I will be recommending them to people.

It went together exactly like the directions say so follow them… no short cuts. It’s sturdy enough for my needs - it’s a scrapbook crap organizer unit. I bought two of them and a matching credenza. Works so awesome I can’t tell you how great it looks too. You already know you’re not buying true hardwood furniture so get over that expectation and enjoy it for what it is.

This is a truly a lovely bookshelf. Took me a while to set up, but there is a helpful video online you can find. Also, i was missing one bottom piece and i contacted the manufacture company on their website and they shipped it same day and made it within 2 days. That's customer service royalty. Each shelf is holding plenty of books that have weight to them. Inner material looks sketchy but take care of it and it will do its job.

This is a very sturdy bookshelf that is designed so well! One thing to watch out for is in the assembly. You reach a point in the directions that you have to carefully turn over the bookshelf so the back is facing up. Since the front isn’t flush you have to be extra cautious not to allow the middle to buckle. I ended up carefully putting it upright to finish and it worked well.
