AnswerThe Boulevard Cafe Vintage Oak and Black L-Shaped Desk must be assembled as an L-shaped desk. It has not been manufactured or safety tested to function as a stand alone desk.

Sturdy desk - lots of space and storage
I needed an L shaped desk to accommodate the books I use for work. I loved the look of this, plus the shelves are nice for adding decorative items, while not cluttering up the workspace. Don't get overwhelmed when you see all the pieces. Everything, with one or two exceptions, was marked, and all the hardware is individually packed and numbered. It was pretty straightforward to assemble, with one or two areas where things were a little more challenging. Will need a second person for one part, but most can be assembled by one person.

This desk was difficult to assemble and just know you will be busy for a few hours. No drills recommended with the manual but I still cautiously used my drill. Some of the pre marked holes were a little off but I was able to make it work. End result the desk looks good when it’s finished.
