I like it and you might as well
It is odd and I like it. Pull the trigger back under the barrel and the friction collar opens up to slide in the tube and release it…easy peasy. The riving knife splits the tube as you squeeze it but you don't really feel resistance from it but I had a problem trying to get a paper tube to work but a plastic tub worked perfectly. Yes it is more compact, and it might not have a blade to snip the tip but I always use a utility knife anyway. At the moment, I am using a rather pricey tube of silicone and don’t want to try and see the if I can remove it and reuse it later but its not hurting being in the gun since I will need it again this week. I myself feel like I have more control without using two hands on a heavier metal counterpart and tube poke is hidden so you don’t get stuff on your hands like others. I like it and I think it’ll be my go to for now with plastic tubed caulks.

Great Compact Caulking Gun
This is an interesting caulking gun. It really is compact, and the handle and trigger are very comfortable and easy to squeeze. The functional design is different from a standard caulking gun. As the tube of caulk is drawn into the gun, a blade cuts the tube, allowing it to continue through the gun past the internal plunger. You can see this if you look carefully at the rear view of the gun in one of the photos. The gun worked well. I really liked how there was no need to release pressure on the caulking tube when pausing while applying the material. The gun is made from sturdy plastic and feels substantial. I expect it to last a long time, and I definitely recommend it.

Good, but could be better
This caulking gun works well. It's easy to put the tube of caulk in and it doesn't drip caulk all over the place. While you have to do this yourself, you can cut the extra off the tube your using, making the tube much smaller, and with this gun, get into tight places. It has a hook to hang it up, and a small lanyard for an alternate connection. Like with all new tools I'm still getting use to it, but it doesn't seem to push out as much caulk per squeeze as a regular gun, which isn't bad, unless you're doing a very large caulking job. This gun doesn't have a hole where you can snip the tip of a new tube of caulk, which is inconvenient. I noted that once the tube is in the gun, the angle on the tip of the caulk is difficult to re-orient. You must remove the tube and start over with the different orientation. Also, as you squeeze the trigger, it actually moves the tip away from the work piece since the gun pulls the tube into itself. Convenient instructions are included on the operation of the gun. If they just made them a tiny bit smaller and made them out of sticker material, you could mount the instructions on the barrel of the caulk gun which is a perfect place for them. I trimmed the instructions to size and mounted them on the barrel with tape. Overall, a good tool, if you understand the limitations.

Compacted, east to use
I recently received the 4 in. Super Compact Heavy-Duty Drip-free Caulk Gun for 10 oz Tubes - (Tool Only). Right out of the package it is ready to go. First it just looks cool, I tried it out with a tube of caulk. It is easy to load, just slide the tube in. Once loaded it is as easy to squeeze the handle. The small profile make it easy to maneuver it around. I caulked a small part of my shop to try it out. It was very easy to use, the flow of the caulk was smooth and I had no trouble maneuvering it along the wall.

Nifty design, saves on space, has some unintended consequences
I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this caulk gun. I was happy to see how compact it was and the different way in which it feeds tubes through. It does allow for some maneuvering in much tighter spaces than a typical caulk gun, especially as the tube empties you gain more room to move as the overall length shortens. The unintended consequences are obvious though from how it works. As the tube is slid through the body, the circumference is gripped with a traction tape material. This works great normally, especially in warm weather when the caulk and silicone flow easily. But as we get closer to winter the caulk is firm enough that the traction tape simply slides and gouges the tubing without feeding. Then there is the riving knife that splits the body. This compromises tube integrity if you decide to try and reuse the tube in a standard caulk gun, it can split easily. Then because of the cut tube, trying to reuse and refeed the tube into the gun body after a job is done to reuse and save of caulk or silicone is really hard. Consider this a light duty option for tight spaces or situations where you plan on using the entire tube in one go.

Silly Gun
While a novel design for compactness, the inability to reuse a cartridge after two uses made it worthless for my usage. I want the angled tip of the caulk cartridge to be at a certain placement. It failed to work on a second reload at the same position for two different cartridges. Possibly swiveling the cartridge to a different tip position might have worked, but that defeats how I want to use the gun. No cleaning wire either. More gimmick than useful tool, IMO.
