5 gal. Base 1 Eggshell Interior Paint

I used to paintban apartment and it didn't dry in 7 hours l, the paint was still wet.

Great paint for the price. Covered well sprayed 2 coats on ceiling, pantry, closets no complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the color of the North Sea SPEEDHIDE Interior Latex, but I wasn't thrilled with the coverage. Even after stirring and re-stirring it seemed to be thin and runny and I ended up having to do two coats.

I bought the Speedhide Eggshell Interior paint last week. I was painting over a light color, similar in tone to the one I bought. It is hands down the WORST paint I have ever used. It took 4 coats to cover the walls and I didn't have enough to do the ceiling so had to buy more (not this brand again). The label says it has excellent coverage, but it definitely does not. It dried quickly, probably because its mostly water, but it took me 4 days to paint a 10x11 room. What a joke.

Disappointed in this paint. Less pigmentation than expected. After three coats by roller its tolerable. Would not buy again. Shame ppg was really high quality.

I needed to paint my bedroom, as the existing paint was at least 10 years old and starting to chalk in spots. I also have a wood burning stove which adds some soot into the mix. The Home Depot is right around the corner, so I went in after looking at their web site and was amazed and a bit disturbed by the cost of paint. I typically go for the "middle of the road" product - cost-wise, but in this case after reading some reviews I went with the Speedhide eggshell. Wow. I was quite happy when I opened the 5 gallon container for the first time and saw the thickness of the paint. I was expecting it to be a bit "watered down" but that was definitely not the case. Not only did the Speedhide cover well, it went on smoothly with the brush on the edge cuts and the roller - hardly any spatter which really amazed me, considering I typically have my arms covered in spots from the ceiling painting. I cannot express how happy I am with this paint - for $104 for 5 gallon pail, quite the bonus.
