Product Details

This freestanding fully automatic ice maker produces up to 44 lbs. of bullet-shaped ice per day, with storage space of up to 9 lbs. Direct plumbing allows for constant supply of fresh ice without the hassle of manual fill. Full stainless steel housing is an attractive addition to any space setting. For unit's longevity, filtered or purified water is required (distilled water or reverse osmosis would be best); or unit must be cleaned once very other week with citric acid to remove mineral build ups. Filtered water will also improve the taste of odor of ice cubes.

        A:  IM-441C- The ice maker acts as an ice chest and the ice stays frozen depending on the surrounding of where the ice maker is installed and ambient room temperature.

          A:  yes, wish they had insulated the ice bin. If installed in Air Conditioned area will begin to melt in several hours. I notice it more in the mornings, after sitting all night.

            Disappointment
            Was pleased with this machine until the water valve started leaking. Sunpentown recognized the picture of the corroded valve I sent them then started back peddling. Claimed I purchased from a non authorized reseller. Than claimed it was a cheap knockoff. Then refused to sell me a valve even though the unit should be under warrantee. I would not advise dealing with these clowns. ld I would not suggest dealing with these people! i

              I love this machine. That being said, it is noisy and the ice does melt. If the ice bin was insulated it would help with both issues. Please be aware if product is under Manufacture Warranty and you have issues you will be required to pay $58 shipping and you are responsible to package to ship back.
