Will this stick to a painted surface?
yes, have used on interior painted drywall and plywood surfaces. Similar to the stickiness of painters tape. pulls off easy to readjust it before mudding without surface damage but stays put enough to mud it without holding in place like paper tape

Can I use this for an inside corner instead of paper?
I have used it on all seams without issues. I find it easier to work with.
How thick is this really? The specs are almost 3mm, this can't be right, another non "ultra thin" product is listing at 1.5mm

The compound says apply a thin layer of compound over joint prior to applying drywall tape, but the demonstration video says complete opposite. Who?s lying?
Hi Joee - most joint compound manufacturers will give instructions for using the product with paper joint tape. In that application, the compound is applied first. FibaTape Perfect Finish is self-adhesive and is applied directly to the drywall. This eliminates the need for that first coat of compound making your project quicker and easier! What mud/joint compound to use with this?
Nothing: I returned it due to underwhelming adhesion and continuous balling.
Although FibaTape products can be used with all types of compounds, we do have some recommendations for the best results. When taping regular, tapered edge seams with Perfect Finish tape we recommend heavy weight all-purpose ready mixed compound for those that prefer all-purpose compounds. If the temperature is warm and stable and humidity is low you can also use the heavy weight compound with our other FibaTape products. Taping and setting compounds are also great to use with our FibaTape products. We suggest staying away from light weight compounds when embedding any type of tape. Remember to always refer to the compound manufacturer’s instructions for recommended drying times.
How does it work for cracks (house settling)?
I wiped the wall, cut it to fit the crack then applied the spackle. Then sanded the area.
It works fine for repairing cracks but if you have foundation issues it will not prevent cracks .
