A:  Hi Mzzg, our wall repair fabrics are more so for cases of larger cracking/spiderweb cracking on plaster walls. You would likely have a stronger and more efficient repair using our wall repair patches for your job due to it being an actual hole.

          Worked Great !
I had to add a new outlet, approximately 4' feet from the original location. I made a 3"-4" slot cut in a plaster wall which ran parallel to the floor to the new location. I used drywall to fill the gap and used the FibaTape to cover the slot cut which worked out perfectly. Note, I filled the gaps first with quick-set, then placed the fibatape on top of it, and ran a skim coat to embed it. Waited for it to dry, then did a couple of stages of mudding to blend it in and to have it nice and smooth.

I love this stuff ! It gives me a big swath of coverage area snd is easy to work with. I still use the metal patches for some bigger holes - but this is really a good product.

Product was easy to use. Measure to use on selected crack or hope in wall and cut to size. Adheres to sheetrock with no problem as long as you wipe clean before applying. Stays in place when spackling is applied. But best if spackle is applied in several thin laters as described in tape instructions. I even used the tape to cover a section larger than 12 inches wide just by taping several pieces of tape, without overlapping sections. It wasn't perfect, but it was less expensive than buying two 12" patch pieces.

I have some cracking in my house from some interior walls that were removed and I picked this up to try to use as a cheap, easy, and quick repair. You adhere the tape over the crack or hole and apply Spackle over the tape. I was skeptical about how it would come out but it looks great. Super easy to use for the average DIYer and I got better as I went along. Definitely work a shot for small holes and cracks.

This reminds me of the fiber glass dry wall tape, only a lot wider, thinner (only 0.018 thick) and closer knit mesh. It’s self-adhesive backed, so it sticks to the walls/ceilings well. Just follow the instructions on the package, always make sure the area to repair is clean and remove any loose debris. Apply “Perfect Finish” 1” past each end. Very important to only apply enough finishing compound to penetrate the mesh and fill the joints of the fabric. Once completely dry, lightly sand and apply additional coats as necessary. Put the remaining “Wall Repair Fabric” in a zip-Loc bag to keep dust and anything else out of it.

The perfect finish wall repair fabric is a self-sticking mesh tape used to repair walls, cracks, rough surfaces, or repair damage to wallboard from removing wall coverings. The tape is 6 inches wide by 75 feet long. The ultra-thin mesh cuts easily and sticks to a clean and dry wall. Apply a thin single layer of wallboard compound. Feather the edges, and you have an almost flush repair to the wall that can be painted. It will hide spider or reoccurring cracks – as it is strong enough to keep the cracks from reappearing. Excellent for repairing problem door or wall corners, or damaged or peeled wallboard surface paper or pet scratches. This is an easy to use and economical repair mesh that can be used to solve problems including door knob punches, small holes, and other damage areas.

Great product for doing drywall repairs, this incredibly thin mesh repair fabric makes the repairs and their subsequent covering up a snap. With other thicker and larger mesh products I have had to mud over the tape and feather it much more that with this; I used it to hide the seams where I did a large repair in the ceiling and it worked great. I can see how this will work great for surface scratches from pets and the usual bumping and banging drywall in a home seems to get. Once you mud it in and it dries, sanding to what you want is easy (yes, if you look at the pictures I SHOULD have filled the holes in first, but this is in my garage and I got lazy…). You get a lot of this tape for the price, so a roll should last a while. It is strong despite being so thin; for the finish you can get, I wish I had found this product years ago.

I've been a fan of the regular size mesh tape for a long time but this wider version makes some repair jobs even easier. I recently moved a ceiling light fixture and then needed to patch the 3 1/2" diameter hole. After installing a replacement piece of drywall onto a "backer" board I cut a single piece of Fibatape and covered the entire patch area. Next, a thin layer of drywall compound and then I'm done until it dries. I used the same concept to fill a couple of holes where wall switches were relocated.

The FibaTape wall repair fabric is a quicker, permanent and secure way to repair surface damage to wallboard/drywall. It provides a superior finish to using standard drywall tape or other types of fiber mesh products because it is considerably thinner, so there is less material added to the finished surface, making the repair more subtle. The 6" width is more than 2X the width of typical drywall tape or fiber mesh, which means a cleaner repair because of less seams for wider damaged areas. FibaTape is not designed to be used to replace drywall tape for major repairs or seams . It works great on light gouges, scratches, cracks and related damage. It is self adhesive, making it even easier to apply. I repair drywall professionally and on a regular basis and I highly recommend FibaTape!

This stuff is GREAT! I do not like doing drywall but refuse to pay someone to do something I can do. It takes me longer than the pros, so anything that can help is a blessing. That being said, this repair fabric is excellent. I have used it to repair about half a dozen holes, door-jam cracks, etc. so far and have found it to make the job easier. You wouldn't think a thinned repair fabric would make much difference, but it does.
