I was pleased with the FibaTape. I was patching a small hole at the base of a wall and was not sure it would be strong enough to hold the spackle. I put the patch over the hole as much as I could and then drew the spackle from the solid part of the wall over the hole and it held just fine. I used a spackle that changes color as it dries so it is easy to see in the pictures where the spackle is and what a good job it did holding. The only concern I have is if it were a bigger hole, would the patch hold up as well as the smaller one that I used. I would have no problem recommending this product

The Fiba Tape 8" x 8" is a perfect fast solution, for a strong bond on drywall. Very easy to cut, and fit to size. The aluminum and fiberglass patch is strong, bonds perfectly to drywall for a simple strong reinforcing backing, to accept drywall compound. One skim coat with a second finish coat of compound is all that is needed. The patch is easily covered and can be blended into the existing drywall area, with minimum labor. A great product for small drywall repairs.

I used the Fibatape to repair a tear in dry wall paper in a powderroom remodel. When I removed the old oversink cabinet, the cabinet was stuck to the paint (must have been put up in a rush before the paint was fully dry) and a 4" chunk of wall came off with it. The Fibra tape solved this. The six inch fully covered the gash. You peak the backing paper off and then press the self-stick patch metal side down (against the wall). Make sure it is nice and smooth. Then a first thin coat of mud just to get everything covered and stuck to the wall. A light sand and a final coat and no more wall gash. I will put a skim coat on before repainting. Simple and effective. The instructions don't tell you which side goes down, but it is the metal with the fiber mesh up.

This is an incredible product. So easy to use and makes a patching job a snap. The instructions are clear even for a novice like me. It took what I thought would be a difficult project that I wouldn't be able to handle to something that was insanely easy to do and didn't require much skill or experience. I was able to fill a pretty big hole really easily and it came out beautiful. I'll be buying this in the future.
