FibaTape self-adhesive, drywall joint tape saves on both application and dry-time by eliminating the bedding coat required for paper tape installation. Fiberglass mesh is thin and easy to conceal while providing increased crack resistance. It is mold resistant and self-adhesive for easy application.

    A:  It would be better to scrape away the old material and refill the joint. You can tape over it but it will be more difficult to conceal.

      A:  It is not mold resistant, however it can be used on greenboard. Mike

      A:  Yes, FibaTape is naturally mold-resistant and can be used on green board but we recommend Mold-x10 which includes an anti-microbial coating that is designed for high-moisture environments.

          A:  Yes, this tape can be used to seal small holes in walls.

            A:  Yes, but you will need to feather out the joint compound to a 9 to 12" radius so you don't see a bump in the wall. Alternatively, cut the a section of the top paper on the drywall to match the tape so that the tape is flush with the surface of the sheetrock. Your joint compound and texture will then be flush with the wall surface.

            This tape was easy to use. I don't do drywall but I was able to figure this out. The tape peels easy and is easy to apply to the wall. Could have been a better experience. I have used other brands and they were difficult to use. they didn't stick well and it ended up making for a difficult project. Would recommend this product for drywall projects.

              back to paper tape
              Junk. 3 joints in ceiling 2 have hairline cracks the full length 12'. Noticed first the day after paint, second a week later. Usg has a video out saying mesh fiberglass can not with stand panel shift, and paper tape is superior.

                Love this product for repairing cracks in plaster walls. We did a lot of crack repairs in one room about a year ago and they are still smooth and beautiful.
