Hello. Thank you for your question. Roseburg recommends the use of a quality primer + two coats of a 100% acrylic latex house paint. All exposed edges should also be painted and be placed at least 6” above the ground. Re-application of paint is required as recommended by the paint manufacturer or more often as necessary to maintain a good seal of the wood. Solid color stains may also be used, but typically require re-application more often. If you have any further questions please reach out to me at kristenry@rfpco.com.

It had become necessary to replace the bottom of my garage door, so I got all of my wood, paint, brushes, and hardware (Torx-head screws) from Home Depot. Great guys in the Paint department guided my selection there (Behr Paint & Primer In One), and Lumber did the major cuts for me, so I could fit it all in my car! This sheet, plus a 2x4 and some 4"x1/2" (to "lap" the section together on the inside), made the job straight-forward, and I'm very happy with the results!

Warped in 3 directions (lengthwise, crosswise and diagonally). No matter how deep I dug through the stack at Home Depot, I couldn't find any that were flat, like plywood is supposed to be. I don't know if this is due to the brand, or how Home Depot stores the plywood, but it's horrible.
