Questions & Answers
Are Diablo saw blades compatible with the Sawstop table?
Asked by RJM May 29, 2019
Any 10” standard-tooth steel blade with steel or carbide teeth can be used. Do not use blades with tooth “shoulders” (often called depth-limiting or anti-kickback shoulders), as these blades will take longer to stop in the event of an accident. Do not use blades with non-conductive hubs or teeth, as the safety system will not allow the saw to operate with these blades installed.
Do not use blades that are over 10 1/16th inches in diameter or under 9 15/16th inches in diameter because the blade will be either too close or too far away from the brake. Even though a blade is labeled as 10 inches in diameter, it might actually be bigger or smaller, so be sure to check.
Would the stop mechanism activate if cutting wet material since moisture conducts electricity ?
Asked by SCCarpenter February 19, 2019
SawStop saws cut most wet wood without a problem. However, if the wood is very green or wet (for example, wet enough to spray a mist when cutting), or if the wood is both wet and pressure treated, then the wood may be sufficiently conductive to activate the brake. If you are unsure if the material you need to cut is conductive, you can make test cuts using Bypass Mode to determine if it will activate the safety system’s brake. The red light on the control box will flash to indicate conductivity.

Asked by Castello July 13, 2018
Youll have to replace the brake cartridge and saw blade, better than trying to replace your fingers.

The SawStop Jobsite table saw is a true workhorse!
I purchased this saw with the intent to do a "small" production project breaking down 8'x4' sheets of 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood. 6 months later I realized that I had broken down 150+ sheets, making close to 40,000 cuts on this saw with it NEVER skipping a beat. Ultimately this saw is great for so many reasons, portability, stability, unparalleled safety and ease of use.
Highly recommend this saw!
