Does it automatically lock when the door closes? I really don't want that.

will this work with 2" thick door?

Out of the box, this lock does not accommodate your door thickness, but a Thick Door kit is available through online retailers to allow installation on doors up to 2 ¼ inches thick. We have had this handle set for 6 months. the keypad rarely works and still requires the use of a key to lock/unlock the door which completely defeats the purpose of the keyless entry. I notice that the battery pack is very loose in the housing. help!
