Q:Is it possible to disable the lock? We have gotten trapped inside and had to call someone to let us out. The metal key does not work, and neither do the solution proposed by others (e.g., straightening out a paper clip and using it).

Q:do you guys install door knobs in houses indoor and how much do you charge to do it. I have 7 doors which are 2 inches in diameter and can't find indoor knobs under a 2 inch whole to install in my door. What would be the price breakdown for installation.

These door knobs were extremely easy to put on. We ordered 19 of them (and subsequently ordered triple that number of hinges) to change all of the door hardware in our house from the "builder basic" brass to this lovely matte black. As with any renovation - small or large - it's all in the details. While there are always more expensive and possibly even "prettier" options for door knobs, these were perfect for what we needed and look GREAT!

Great quality doorknobs. They are true black with no faux finish. We installed them in older doors which required drilling larger holes, but even with that extra step they were relatively easy to install. The action is robust and satisfying and they close smoothly. They still look good months later with no noticeable wear.
